I've got a litre of 100% VG
And I want to end up with about an 0.8% nicotine VG mix..

I can see that its either easier to buy VG base nic shots that are 18mg

Or

Get these vg nic base at 5% or 50mg...

Can anyone help me with both measurements to work out which is most cost effective.. And how much VG nicotine I need to get to mix my litre to about 0.8% nic..

I did buy a litre bottle of VG at 0.8% nicotine from tmbnotes about 18 months ago for £17... But now I can't seem to get a litre of nic with VG for much less than £50.... If anyone knows of a place that does this? That would be much much better...

If you buy the 50mg vg nic you could put what you dont use in the freezer for another day.
Remove 160ml from your litre of plain VG and add 160ml of your 50mg nic.
You will then have 1ltr of 8mg VG.
Not sure you want to vape 100%vg though so have a play with this calculator.

PS you will probably find nic a struggle to get hold of as its supposed to be business to business sales only in amounts over 10ml and strengths in excess of 20mg.

18mg nic shots would be 48x 10ml or 480ml of your 1ltr needs to be made up of nic shots

Search Google for 0.72mg nic.
You can still get hold of it if you look hard enough but don't talk about it on here.
Too many suppliers have gone under cos of them being broadcast.
When you do find it do a search on said company to make sure they're okay.
