Hi

Pretty much new to this,
I know different brands give different percentages and a lot of it is down to taste preference but heres my question,

If a single flavour works at 20% but I want to make 3 flavours in one would I add 20% of Strawberry then 15% of say Mango then another 15% of say bubblegum?
Or would i drop all of the flavours percentages to add up to 20% overall?

I've found with capella that 10% i dont taste nothing and a single 20% just about gets the smell and flavour coming through.

Hope this makes sense

I dont mind high 50/50 pg and if thats the case I'll do it.
Ive also wasted nearyl 200 mil of vg pg just cant get any good flavours going.
Mango was weak but sweet mango seems better at 20% alone.
Not giving up i was terrible at coils when i started but im a coil master now lol

50% of flavorings... WAAAAAAAAY too much lol. 20% flavorings is normally strong enough for most folk. It's recommended that you start at about 15% overall though. If you want to split them all down the middle, then it'll be 5% of each obviously.

You can then work from there, if a certain flavor is overpowering, lower that in the next batch. Strawberry will without a doubt be the most overpowering flavor there.

Ha ha thanks for reply.
I tried alchemist cupboard
10% mango
5% pineapple
5% passion fruit

It tastes flavourless and horrible also no fruit smell.

I tried 20% *sweet* mango on its own and then there was taste and smell.

Not sure what i done wrong or if i should just do basic single flavours for now?

Not too sure about alchemist, never used them myself bud. Did you give it a good shake? People say you can vape straight away, but personally I like to give them a few days to just settle into their new home! :D

Shaking is certainly important though, without a shake, there will just be layers. If you feel comfortable mixing numerous concentrates together mate, then there's no need to stick to single flavors.

Personally I think it's best to stick with simple flavours to start with. If you make your fruit flavours individually you could always mix them together once your happy you have the percentage levels right.
Maybe do some 5 or 10ml test batches?
The good thing about fruity flavours is that they require little to no steeping.

Yes i shook them like crazy, i done 10 mils in 30 mil bottles just so i could shake it properly.
Also small ammounts in larger bottles steep quicker.
I left them for 5 days shaking and taking the lids off everyday and still awful.
Just no punch in flavour, I tried capella and the 20% had taste straight away.
Any tips on good concentrates would be appreciated too.
Capella seems good but the alchemist own brand is not good imo

Just wanted to make sure, someone missed that part out the other day.. The most important part! :)

I tend to leave 5ml empty in my bottles for the same reasons, makes things easier! Right.. Some people will disagree, but personally I wouldn't recommend taking the lid off at all, unless you had funky chemical tastes. Taking the lid off weakens the flavor by quite a substantial amount, depending on how long you're doing it for.

As I said, wouldn't like to comment on alchemist, I'll leave that for someone else who's dealt with them before. I only really use The Flavor Apprentice (Perfume Apprentice), and Capella. Flavor Art I've seen a lot lately, getting good feedback for strong liquids, not tried them as of yet though. Head over to Vapable, awesome service, normally next day delivery.

Capella are a good range, and most work at 20%.
Also some flavours actually taste weak if you mix them too strong, i usually will mix a 3ml sample of 10%, 15% and 20% when trying a new flavour.

Also you can get premixed concentrates, Red Astaire is very popular, and all you have to mix it at 15-20% depending how strong you want it and its good to vape straight away.
I get mine from chefs vapour https://www.chefsvapour.co.uk/t-juice-concentrates/2014-red-astaire.html
Also all the T Juice and Pink Spot concentrates are all ready to mix, no other flavours needed :)

edit.
Also here is a handy spread sheet with recommended flavour percentages, just click on the brand name along the top https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1agXdua8bEp8MV4z1mn3qX4AXCS4P0RxQXcy2lDa7ccc/pub?gid=21

Brilliant thanks.
I'm new to this so i will look up the Flavor Apprentice and order some flavours.
I've already discovered bad flavours so I'll go there.
Thanks for replying
