So i have Capella French vanilla V2 for a recipe i want to try. Some others require French Vanilla V1, what's the difference. Only thing i can see on the products recommended percentage is you use more or less of one or the other in a recipe/single. So would i just factor that in with said recipes?

And if one recipe wants a flavour i have but by a different brand will it suffice.

Generally v2's have all the questionable stuff removed and are considered safer.

Meanwhile... in the real world, they taste shite, stick to the 1's unless you wear a tinfoil hat.

V1 has Acetyl Propionyl in it (sort of bad stuff)
V2 was reformulated so it doesn't have it in.

I expect you need more of the V2 because it's not as flavorful (because the sort of bad stuff tastes nice) yes factor that in.

You can try and replace with a different brand but the % could be totally different and it will probably taste different than the original recipe intended... might not be bad though, could be good.
