So i bought myself some VG/PG some 72mg nic and an assortment of capella flavours but im finding that no matter how many different ways i try to do a mix they always end up lacking taste and thinner than expected.

I've bought some stuff from other places and they always seem nice and thick with lot's of flavour so what are they doing differently from what im trying to do ? why cant i get a similar consistency or taste to my home made e liquids.

Is the VG im using too thin ? I know the flavours are pg based but i've also tried different VG/PG ratio's by compensating one for the other to make it thicker but nothing seems to work. :(

Vg tends to be thinker so it depends on what ratio you are mixing it with pg. With the flavour issue, a lot of Capella flavours need a good steep for the flavour to develop. The fruity ones can be ok after a couple of days, but others really need at least a couple of weeks (lemon meringue for example really needs nearer 3 weeks).

I've tried a 50/50 and 80/20 but both still seem thinner than the stuff i bought, i've also tried to compensate for the pg flavours and added more vg to the mix by fixing the pg/vg ratio in ejuice me up so it has 0 pg 100 vg but it doesn't make much difference.
If it help's the VG base is mixed with water the one i got from libertyflights is 90% VG and 10% water and the other VG i have im not 100% sure on the ratio but i bought it from the alchemist cupboard if that helps.

All my mixes have been steeping now for around 4 days but i'll leave them for around 2 weeks and taste them again

Are you adding any other water/vodka? I use just boots vg, pg based flavours and 10% dionised water and have found it makes lovely thick juice. I also used cup cake worlds flavours which need lots and found (for me) the juice was too runny.

No added water/vodka just 72mg nic diluted to 18mg strength with VG base and 20% of capella flavouring. When i've tried mixing with a pg/vg base it's even thinner so the last couple of mixes i've used vg only.

Do you know if the boots vg is much thicker than the stuff i mentioned before ? I might buy some of the boot's stuff if it's thicker as i like a 50/50 mix but like mentioned when i add any pg other than whats in the flavours it's like water.

Does it matter if it's thin as long as it tastes good?

I don't know, but I would imagine it is as it has no added water. It's pretty darned gloopy :) for the sake of £1.50ish it's worth a punt :)

Yes it does, at least for me anyway it's called personal preference. I would like to make a 50/50 but it ends up like water if i mix it with pg other than whats in the flavouring and it doesn't seem to vape as well in the kanger either when it's too thin

Thanks purplefowler. I think i might take a gander in the local boots in the next day or so and get myself some vg, does it have a specific label or name.

Is there anywhere you would recommend going to for dionised water, nic and flavours ?

Skip the water if you want your mix thick. You say earlier your VG is already watered down 10%, maybe that's why your end result is thin? I use 75mg PG based nic plus PG based flavours plus VG (no added PG) and mine turn out quite thick. Certainly thick enough for a T3, evod or Protank.
