So made another build claptons 5 wraps around 2.5mm wicked with cotton bacon and its really lacking flavour. Last build I done was 6 wraps and 3.5 and it was wicked with the coil master free cotton but tasted excellent! Any ideas why it's so muted? Thanks!

I know this goes against the grain but personally I think cotton bacon is shocking. I get no flavour from any build I use cotton bacon for the wick so maybe it's just that.

Wow that is interesting, I liked cotton bacon only because it didn't taste of cotton while it was breaking in. Only difference in flavour I noticed I blame my variable wicking abilities. Part of the reason I moved on to fiber freaks as I can cut it precisely rather than having to eyeball the cotton bacon!

It's one-off them things though...what works for one won't necessarily work for another. I much prefer muji in my builds and it only takes a few mins to break in. Then I use Fuzion for my really low builds. That stuff works even at like 0.1 ohms and lower. It just doesn't seem to burn.

You don't say if you're using TC or wattage. If TC, it may be due to not locking the base resistance. Otherwise, a choked wick perhaps? Try using less wick material.
