Hi All. My name is Debbie, I am 52 years old, a very long-term smoker. I have just bought a Halo Tank kit as found all the bits and pieces a bit overwhelming! I am really enjoying it and have cut down my roll ups by half already :-).

I have a question that I am sure you have been asked at least a gizillion times before ..... how do I inhale without the cough? lol. I am getting over bronchitis so that probably isnt helping! I am using 12mg Nicotine at the moment, I am waiting for some flavours to arrive.

Thanks all

:noob:

:welcome1: well done on the switch.

try taking a mouth inhale and then into lungs instead of a straight lung hit.

Take slow pulls from your device, its a bit different to smoking a cigarette. Hold the vapour in your mouth a few secs before inhaling. I find taking longer slower draws helps.

Oh and welcome!!!!

Hello and welcome debdebc, well done on starting vaping!

It seems like a minefield when you first start, but you will get used to all the terminology!

Have a look at the wiki on here, it explains some of the basics. Don't be afraid of asking questions, we were all new once and are happy to share our knowledge if it helps someone else keep off the fags!

I knew this looked a good friendly site :-). Thanks so much, after smoking for this long its great to have an alternative, I dont like the idea of patches etc..not like smoking is it?!

Thanks for the advice and the welcome :-)

:welcome1: to POTV and congratulations :)

Slow inhale into your mouth and then into your lungs, that's the way I got used to vaping in the beginning :)

:welcome1: debdebc

Great to hear you are cutting down! Everyone is friendly here and are keen to help us newbies :)

:welcome1: debdebc! As all above, try slow gentle inhales into your mouth before taking back into your lungs. It eases off after your body gets used to it, the same as when you first started on the cigs. Any questions etc do ask, we're a friendly ol' bunch here! And when looking for new bits and pieces be sure to check the Discount Code section above as there's LOADS of vendors around here offering discounts to POTV members! Enjoy!
