What's new

Hi All.

High @Coolie27, thanks for the nice words.

As for the gear, impulses and hoarding is still a real problem for me I've turned into a bit of an obsessed hobbyist collector now and want everything I see. The hard part is keeping my head under control and trying not to act as quickly as I was doing anymore.

I'm still planning on making some more high-end purchases next year but they'll be better thought through than the one's I've previously been making.

On the plus side, some of them are like fine fines and watches, and actually appreciate in value like Rolex's rather than end up in landfill like Casio's. So it's not squandering money as much as it might seem. Limited runs and scarcity keeps the prices up as long as you look after them.

The problem is, I'm getting into weird stuff now and highly customised pieces and they would be a very specialist market if I ever wanted to sell them, but as I don't yet that's not a problem I've encountered.

Don't think all my gear is exotica now though, I'm still quite happily vaping on normal stuff and have a XROS 3 beside me, that's satisfying me quite dandily.

Love, blessings and a very happy Christmas and new year to you and all your family.

:lovesign: Have a :merryxmas1: & a:newyear2: :lovesign:

If collecting to your personal taste makes you happy and does nobody any harm that`s what life is all about, go for it. Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Now you might've seen the Xtra-Mile Prelude Micro I received a few days ago I thought I'd take a moment to show you all what drew me to it in the first place.

Apart from it being gorgeous in it's own right, its a perfect match for my two Vapemonster Eternity Boros - and as I'm so infatuated with them I just had to have it, particularly as I love my continuity!

In truth I think the two companies are probably linked in some way as they're both south Korean and Youngho Jin and Ji Hoon Sung interact quite a lot on Facebook. The mods even come wrapped in identical rice paper, tape and wrapping technique so they might even originate in the same facility.

The only difference is that the VapeMoster's are LIPO Boro's and the Prelude is a traditional cell mod - although goodness knows how an 18650 fits, it seems far too small for that. The battery tube must be a tardis.

East Asia is producing some amazing stuff right now. South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and even some Chinese modders are producing some incredible stuff right now. There's a whole new world out there if you look.

I'm desperate for a JKVM Penon but sat out the last two drops as the only colour on offer was Black and oddly I'm not into Black Penon's. I'm waiting patiently for some potential colour options. Here's hoping. Perhaps I should contact Jack and beg nicely!

Don't let Sinophobia put you off going Chinese either. Fei Wu's IF Mods and SSS labs make some remarkable stuff - pricey but remarkable. The man is an artist and craftsman of the highest order. If he was Chinese he'd be held in much greater esteem and that makes me sad.

Other modders and customisers worth looking out for are Artchanic, DPM, MCM, Gatub Arts & Crafts, SilverCraft, 4.15, Moo Mods, YG Creations and RJ Mods to name but a few. DamDan is my go to man for panels too.

VapeMonster's Ji Hoon Sung is now teasing a new traditional mod for next year too and that will be top of my shopping list should it ever come to fruition. I think I'm his biggest fan-boy now.

I was to late to the party for one of my hearts biggest desires though - an JKVM Elforyn Boro but was seconds away from obtaining the last Blue Alumide one, but I missed out because somebody had faster F5 refresh fingers than me, and I couldn't have been any faster if I'd tried. Sigh.

Peace, love and universal blessings to you all. May the new year bring you nothing but all the goodness in the world and all your heart's desires.

Anyway, here's a few more piccy's for you.

Whatever makes you happy. An investment whichever way you look at it.

@Astral, I’m late to the party as per usual but I will take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. You have some beautiful devices there and so long as they make you happy and lift your spirits then why not.
It’s always nice to see you around on P.O.T.V. Take care of yourself mate and all the best for 2024.
