What's new

Hi from Down Under

From one Aussie (in the UK now) to another: welcome.

How do you get around the no-nic laws in Australia?

Hello!
Sorry all - Not sure how to subscribe to these - not getting any notifications. Just as well I had a bit of a look through the indexes!

Yep, have to import nic - can be easy, sometimes not so much, from what I've seen. I'm still waiting for my first order to arrive.

LOL PurpleFowler, I wouldn't be too jealous - weather's been pretty awful lately in many parts. Where's your dad going to be?

Whipitup - nah... CobbEr LMAO

Merino - an Aussie, or just here for a while, when in Brissie? Actually I'm a born Kiwi, so the merino strikes a chord... Bahahaha..

Thanks, Roadhog, Szaxe, Mark, Carlos, Iocus for the welcomes :-) Much appreciated.

Aussie born, but have lived in various points in Ireland and UK too, was in Brissie rounds abouts the mid-00's, working in the valley (Fortitude), and living around abouts Hawthorne way, if you know the places, never made it to anything but a very occasional beach in the Gold Coast direction, though.

Actually, nearly decided to go to New Zealand to live for a bit in 2008, before coming to Europe again, but my mother is in Ireland, and my sister is in the UK, and I hadn't seen either for about eight years, so I thought I'd be responsible intead ;)

Ah, yes, hard to be away from close family if close is what you are :-)
Funny, I've only been in Brisbane a couple of times in my life. As a shopkeeper seven days, it's hard to get out much LOL

LOL nah haven't watched Neighbours for many, many years. And Eastenders wasn't on here in Oz that I could see, although we loved it when I lived in NZ in the mid-'80s.
