Hi all I'm a 30 year old guy from Glasgow trying to get into sub-ohming and mixing my own juice. I'm vaping on the nautilus mini bvc with some really nice store mixed blackberry menthol from the vaping caterpiller in Glasgow :) it's the best I've ever tried! I used the aspire bdc with a 20w eleaf battery for about a year back in 2013 but have been on the cigarettes since. I haven't touched a cigarette in 2 months now and I'm not craving them. I recently bought a kangertech topbox as I read it can good for entry level sub-ohmers; that its versatile and you can use rebuildable RBA coils, I've also already ordered an ohms meter and some A1 kanthal wire for this. If you need to change the coil and there's too much juice in it though it floods the clearomiser which I learned the hard way, apart from that I'm enjoying it. I've not got ohms law under my belt yet but I'm experimenting within the guidelines kangertech state, and now onto what brought me here.

I recently bought some pg/vg liquid nicotine and flavors from everythingliquid.co.uk and I was unimpressed. They also sent me out pg and vg labelled past its best before date but assured me that it was a printing error and sent me out extra. When I asked for advice about my juice and it tasting bad/making me cough they offered me even more free juice. I said no thank you in the end. I mixed 12x 50ml bottles 50/50 @28mg and they didn't taste good shake and vape, I cant even vape them...60 quid going in the bin. I also tried them with 10 days steeping, after 12hrs breathing, and then again after 4x 15 minute baths in warm water. I found the online team/office people very professional, well written and polite, however this says nothing about their product. I'm seeing mixed reviews about everythingliquid.co.uk. It's possible my methodology is wrong but I made simple recipes with precise measurements and I used the e-juice me up app to get my numbers right.

I'm going to try my next mix with vg/pg and liquid nicotine from http://www.flavourart.co.uk/, I am also going to use capella flavoring as I'm readinghese are good brands, unless there is anything noticeably better out there? If you managed to read all this thank you very much :)

Also can anyone tell me if flavourarts concentrated flavours are on a par with capella? thanks

Welcome to the site @Jay1986 - good to have you here! Subtank is good but due to you getting a lot more vapour, 28mg is way too high in terms of nic!! The usual for sub ohmers is 3mg nic strength so not surprised you are finding it hard to handle!

If you have 50ml at 28mg then you could mix up a load of the same mix at 0mg and dilute what you have - go here:
https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/e-liquid-recipes/mixing-calculator.php

Stick 3mg as the final strength, in Nicotine Details put the nicotine strength as 28mg change the pg/vg to be 50 each and then play with the calc to see what you could do with it.

I put 500ml final amount, final strength 3mg, nic strength 28mg, look at the bottom of the page and you will see 53.37ml - so get a 500ml bottle, pour in one of your 50ml mixes and then make it up to full size from there.

As you have found out, when you start mixing do it in small quantities to see what it is like before you do a bigger batch.

EverythingLiquid have been around a long time and I haven't any bad feedback about them before, they are fine to use. Have a look through the mixology section on here and the eliquid recipes in there and here too https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/e-liquid-recipes/ and ask any questions if you need any more help.

Each range of flavours have their good and not so good ones. Depends what you are trying to achieve. I use recipes that contain both and am very happily with the quality of flavours from both flavour houses.

Hi Jay and welcome to the Planet.

i dont mix so cant help there but as said 28mg in a subtank, ouch!
even in the nautilus which i gave up with i could manage 18mg which done the trick for me.

with a subtank/toptank it depends which coil you are using. the higher the coil number the better it is for mouth to lung and then you can use higher nicotine juice at lower wattage. the lower the coil number is for sub ohming so higher wattage and the majority of us use 3mg and some 6mg.

you can find plenty of helpful links on post 6 of this thread https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...e-liquid-hardware-suppliers.78467/#post858319

Great response there bro and thanks. I'm on the topbox using premixed 6mg strength and on the nautilus 28mg premixed @ present. The juice was intended for the nautilus I should have made that more clear sorry. I appreciate what your saying, they are fine to use. I considered making a separate post about my experience but wasn't sure if it merited it. I'm still gonna try somewhere else though. I'm vaping 28mg strength premixed and I'm vaping a lot but I'm not ready to cut down just yet.

Nicotine VG 72mg - 19.44ml
PG - 15ml
VG - 5.56ml
Flavour - 10ml

12x bottles of @50ml various flavours, vanilla custard is about the only one that tastes good but its still harsh. I'm disheartened but your right I've learned to mix small amounts for the future. I just don't understand what went wrong...I used the stuff that was past the best before date but only because they said it was a printing error. I'll make one more with the in date replacements they sent me and see, I'll maybe even try vaping a 50/50 just pg vg to see if its harsh before adding nicotine and flavour. Cheers again man and that first link there isn't working but I'll find it.

I wasn't wanting to make anything complex at least to begin with, just 1 flavour until I get that right. I'm still experimenting with new flavours but I'm open to anything cause' I like variety. Whats your favourite single flavours from either vendor?

Thanks for the welcome @MrDJ, sorry I should have explained that better....I'm using 28mg on the nautilus and I'm vaping all day its a proper habbit I've got now, I can't put it down. I'm on 6mg on the Topbox. Thanks for the links to that thread, but I'm noticing flavourart and capella arn't on the list, is that because the ones mentioned are considered better? I'm so unsure. I don't mind paying that bit more for premium concentrates if there is such a thing.
