I think it's harder now than it was a year or so ago, there is so much choice out there it must be a bit mind-boggling for new vapers but once you have found a set up that works then you are in a good place and can try things from there to keep you interested.

Nah, jokes aside, thank you for welcoming me. I actually am proud of myself for quitting, though the penny hasn't quite fully dropped that it has happened yet. I still get the urge to smoke but during the last days of my smoking life I hated how cigs tasted, so those memories keep me going strong.

There are indeed plenty of options, which can make things a bit overwhelming, but I am a researcher by nature. I have been reading so much about vaping in general the past couple weeks, trying to cram as much info as I can within a short amount of time.

I have always liked forums, so it is good to join a forum where I can talk about my new obsession... errrh, hobby?

Was a heavy smoker myself for 30Plus years not quite the 60 a day but 30 odd at least with the odd/not so odd green ones to boot with it so a very big WELL DONE on finally finding a kit that works for you and welcome to the forum.

I lost my father last year, one day after my great aunt, and both grandmothers this year. Plus ended an 8 year long relationship (we were married for 5 of those years), so I have had a lot of stress those last couple years. I went from
Smoking 20 a day to 60. I had to put an end to it, or there was no telling how many I would end up smoking eventually.

Congratulations on quitting too!

I know, right? But while it is overwhelming, it is always good to have options. And I am girly kind of girl, so having cute things helps motivate me. Cute colours for my gadgets/Geeky skins ( I just ordered a pink BMO skin for my procolour) and etc. it sounds superficial but it makes me wonder why on wart would I smoke a cig when I can vape from a cute little thing. He

Thank you, I am sure I will learn a lot here. I banned myself from buying a mod for a few months (ideally 6 months), until
I have done enough research to see what to invest in, as two mods and a pen shall keep me going for a long time, without needing to worry. Backup mod at home, and backup pen when I take one mod outside the house.

I know my next mod won't be Smok as I want to try something new. Maybe a Snow Wolf 200 or Snow Wolf Vfeng, but not sure about that yet. My mind might change over the course of a few months in a forum.

I know that I will be a vaper from now on, so I would be ok with investing a couple (or few) hundred on a mod if I knew it would be great for my requirements, but want to make sure I know what exactly my requirements are after vaping with my Smoks for a few months before I decide to invest money in a new mod.


I don't want to have a huge collection, I am all for investing in a couple really good devices instead of having tons of "ok" ones.

So, from now on, my plan is to research, research ,research. As I dont want to get stuck with a couple Mods that are sitting unused somewhere.

Definitely the best approach. Snow wolf is pretty nice, if the lupine looks of it appeal to you - go for the one which has a DNA chip in it’s specs though.
Also check out other dna chip mods similarly - such as the lost vape therion or ePetite. Also there’s a great offer currently on dna vapedroids = get in there before they all go.

Thank you for the link! But like I said, I am banning myself from any new modnourchases for a few months. Will allow myself maybe a couple new tanks and small things like skins or cute drip tips, but I want to properly test the mods I have now. I will bookmark the link though.
