so im brand new here , not new to vaping , but new to wanting to actually learn about it . i have always used a smok baby stick, and after several years of having to buy a new one every couple pf months or so , figured i should really learn what im doing wrong to eff them all up so badly.
have just bought a smok rha 85w which i believe is known as the alien baby . ive had it 2 or 3 days and already burned out my first coil
so im here for basic help and knowledge on how best to use & take care of my mod better and to make things alst a little longer!

I understand smok don't win any quality control prizes, but it still sounds like you're getting through quite a few. What happens when they stop working?

Buying a smok is likely the problem.

Smok coils have a reputation for that.




Best advice I can offer is to buy something that is definitely not made by smok.



Not all smok products are bad, it's just that they seem to have a higher failure rate than most other companies, especially on coils. Some people luck out with a good one and it lasts years - others, not so much.

Hi.. well several things. Ive had 2 that just stop charging ENOUGH to be able to get good performance from them, so even when theyve charged for 10 hours or so when you drag it feels like theure just about ready to die, hardly any pull at all.
A couple the charging ports have collapsed in on themselves but tye last one was the true star of the lot.. started giving me electric shocks and high pitched noises coming from it when in use so i binnes that one ASAP! Genuine fear there that it would explode sooner or later !
My new one.. is tye alien baby, as stated and im getting on fine with it mostly its just tue coil had burned out in 2 days.. im using a 30/70 mix juice .. now.. as i said im a TOTAL noob. I know ZERO about wattage, ohms, coils, etc. This one has the screen.. i know its set to 40 watts and the rest is all absolute greek to me

Hi yeah seems so.. with the v8sticks i found some coils burned super fast and others were better and lasted me a lot longer than the norm.. it seems hit and miss.
I only went with a smok again as a chap at a gig i went to 2 weeks ago had this one and he let me use it and i really liked the feel and how it smoked.. thought maybe it was just the sticks that were problematic.
