What's new

how much is too much money to spend on a mod?

I thought smok wasn't very good? I can't remember but wasn't it something like the mods are crap but the tanks are good?

From what I gather, the mods are a bit variable. The tanks are alright. The coils are a gamble.

I forgot how rubbish smok coils are. one lasted me half a day. I won't be taking a gamble on a smok tank. think i'll stick with my gen. this vape shop sells gen. loving the gen.

Yeah 120 is way too much for that set up. I'd be annoyed if I had to pay even 80 quid for that and even then, as above, you can get it all much cheaper.

I'm on the fence about smok tanks. The ones I've had have all been very good and I've only had the odd duff coil, which is more than I can say for some other manufacturers.

Yeah that's well overpriced for the X217. The guy in my vape shop has offered me his own that he's only used a couple of times for 40quid without tank I month or so ago.

what has put me off from buying one is why does it have a clock? and light up lights? i'll stick with my gen.

Lights can be turned off, and screen on time reduced. The clock is nothing new, a few mods have them, some more prominent than others. The X217 clock doesn't bother me but I tend to have the screen away from me when vaping.

You can get everything you need in a vape mod for £50 really, they are even waterproof, dust proof etc these days but that's not really the point... If it's something that is going to make you happy and you can afford it you're only alive once so just go for it ☺️

If you have a bunch of mods maybe sell off the ones you don't use and get something you would love to use all the time (he says looking at a SXmini G Class )

The older mods especially are not very good and they do have problems with things like the battery doors failing more often than other companies, usually thats because of things like the gimmicky pistol mag deal which people probably overuse to be honest.

Tanks range has always been right up there with the best and usually at a cheaper price too... Their threading isn't to a great standard in general but it's usually enough to get the job done...

I have always found the coils to be good but I break them in very gradually which is maybe why I've never had problems. The mesh coils they do are very very good and usually last me months.

the mod for me is nothing special. Must be safe and small, and work with single 18650 battery. Usually I spend £50 on mod.

Ive done a couple of £120 mods. I really wanted a vicious ant by £300 is not happening.
