Just bear in mind that as great as this forum is in so many ways, nobody here has the medical expertise to determine if your own medical history increases your own personal risk of a negative reaction to a vaccine. You'll get plenty of opinions (which are sometimes all that's wanted or needed) but if you have genuine concerns about an adverse reaction to the vaccine based on previous medical advice then it's a conversation you really need to have with your doctor. They'll be able to look at your medical history, determine your risk from coronavirus, and weigh up the risk/benefit ratios and advise you accordingly.

You're certainly not the only one to feel concern over the vaccine. But I think qualified medical opinions are what truly matter when making such decisions.

Hope you can come to an informed decision you're comfortable with.

it might help if you explained a little more about the medication part of the equation.

It's an endless list tbh, I even suffer weird side effects from viagra, so much so that sometimes I'd rather forgo the pleasure of penetrative sex.
Anyway, I reckon I will have to have the jab, doesn't seem to be any other way forward, fingers crossed and all that. Cheers

Maybe have a chat with your GP first see what the professionals have to say.

If it were a normal vaccine that had went through say 10 years of trials, then you would know.....but it isn't and it hasn't , it's pretty much a live trial... as already mentioned best to speak to your Dr who may be better advised on this.

That's not actually accurate. No vaccine goes through 10 years of trials. The vaccine has gone through exactly the same 3 phase trials as every other vaccine. They've just sped up the processes - funding, trial participation, running trials concurrently instead of consecutively, regulatory red tape, etc. But any other vaccine has been through the exact same process before being cleared for use. They just normally waste years in between each step. Do you expect every vaccine to have been used on other people for a decade before you'd consider it even when they all passed through identical and required phase 3 trials to receive approval?

I actually agree with you, mostly. Just clarifying that the trials it went through are the same as past and future vaccines and no time was cut from the usual safety and necessary time requirements needed for regulatory approval. Ti's all.

But I agree, long term real world data is recorded in real time. Just like every other vaccine after approval. Granted, we don't have 10 years of data because it hasn't been in use 10 years. Trial and real world use are different things tho and maybe best not blurred.

I would consider giving one dose, and considering mixing different vaccines together a trail but I get your drift
