Hi folks,
Yes, I probably had too much time on my hands, but I just had a half hour, with the help of google, to come up with a potential "Lowest Price" I could DIY juice for.
Surprise to me it worked out at an incredible penny pinchers Holy Grail of under £3.00 for 50ml!!

Yes indeed! Juice at under £3.00 for 50ml can be a reality!
500ml of 72% nic base - £35.50, used @18mg = 40 x 50ml bottles! Reputable Flavours that can be used at 5% at £4.00 per 10ml = £40.00 (10 bottles) for 40 X 50ml bottles. The maths, if you can be bothered, leaves you with 1400ml of PG/VG to be added to make up the 40 X 50ml bottles of juice. 1400ml of PG/VG (for simplicity broken down to 700ml of each) = £14.40

Total cost for 40 X 50ml bottles of juice = £89.90 - divide by 40 comes to a super cheap £2.25 for 50ml!!
To keep the grand total under £3.00 for 50ml, that leaves you with £29.60 to spend on syringes, bottles and flavour enhancers and still make your juice for £2.99 per 50ml.

That's the cheapest hypothetical batch of 40 x 50ml that I can come up with, using an assortment of UK vendors with their current offers and prices, without compromising the juice with ingredients of dubious heritage, and I haven't included P&P in my estimate.

With all of the above in mind, How come my DIY juice is costing me around the £6.00 mark for 50ml? Hell if I know, and hell if I care, £6.00 is still cheap. :yahoo:

If you want cheap concentrates, try out Vapours r us. I think they sell on Ebay as well.
30mls of flavouring for 5 quid. Really nice stuff as well.

At what I have been spending £15:00 for 50ml would save me a fortune. As with all of this though the initial outlay is the killer!!! That and newbies mistakes. But if I can get a good couple of mixes under my belt I will be more than happy.
Today's purchase was a half price hand blender, a thick glass jar and a small funnel.
Genius or madness? Only time will tell....

I bought my nicotine for £42 per litre, that means my juices are cheaper than yours :P

Not sure how much it's costing me to make 50ml of juice; more than £3, but probably less than £5. As you say, it's so cheap (relative to commercial juices, let alone compared to smoking) that it hardly matters. I think it would be possible to reduce the cost some way below £3, too, without being reduced to anything tooooo nasty, and providing you didn't mind vaping the same stuff all the time - and, of course, you would have to be sufficiently interested and motivated to do it in the first place, and keep doing it. Not everyone can be bothered.

It was an economic measure for me, originally - having a small vaping budget, and preferring to spend the money on hardware - but in some ways, I find it the most interesting part of the Entire Vaping Hoo-hah...

Economics also prompted me to start DIYing remnant , that and also that since the advent of hassle free, reliable, vaping via the Kayfun tribe, Taifun, and now, the rose v2, without DIYing my vaping was taking zero out of my 'must spend, boys toys' monthly budget! It got to the point of either start DIY juice mixing, or buying more unnecessary junk from fattech. I opted for mixing my own juice.
Now, before anyone chips in and says, "well cheersm8, you don't have to spend money from the kitty just for the sake of it" my answer is "Of course I do, silly!!" :yahoo:

Jeez, I am so anal about the costs ... everything goes onto spreadsheets, also every detail about juice making ... the goal is vaping for less than 50p per day. I think that's realistic once you've sorted the hardware out and master the mixing of 5 or 6 good flavours of juice.
