I can’t work out which new tank I should get

hello! I know there are a million threads like this, and I’ve read many of them but I’m still at a loss of which tank I should get. I’ve been vaping for a couple of years now, and have settled on an innokin coolfire mod (the one that goes up to 150w or whatever) and a smok spiral tank. The problem is that although I like several things about the tank, I hate how hit and miss the coils are! I have tried to build my own coils on a couple of different tanks and quite frankly I am useless so I don’t see this is much of an option.

I like flavour over clouds, and so I usually use the 0.6 coil at between 26-28w and the coil lasts me a couple of days. I vape primarily for flavour (and ok yes I know this is weird) but I take the vapour only I to my mouth, never into my lungs, But the mtl tanks I’ve found have too tight a draw.

TLDR: are there any tanks that are similar to the smok spiral but have better coils? I’ve been contemplating the Freemax mesh pro as I’ve read so much about that being good on flavour but I worry about the huge clouds!

Coil building takes a bit of trial an error, but it's a massive cost saver. If you want a great tank for flavour, you can't go wrong with the Freemax(i've had quite a few toots on my buddy's Freemax). I'd love a Freemax myself, but i can't justify the cost on the coils, my rebuildables offer worlds apart cost efficiency.

from the beginning my fave tanks were the crown, crown 2 & SE1 so i bought 3-4 of each.
ive now got 45 tank or there abouts and the only other tank ive bought a second one of is the freemax mesh pro. tbh impo this has given the best flavour out of all the tanks i own.
the single coil is hmm ok, the dual coil is da bollocks, the tripple is a bit too airy for me and ive still got the quad to try.
it does have a lot to do on the juice you use though. ive tried quite a few flavours and makes and always go back to these three, drip drop mint humbugs, dinner lady tuck shop and ivg bubblegum millions or spearmint millions but as always its all down to individual taste.

Freemax mesh pro is great I would agree but the resin version is 28mm diameter and the coolfire ultra is 23.8mm diameter so a fair bit bigger than the mod, the smok spiral is 22mm diameter, if that doesn't bother you then Go for it

Difficult with the size of the mod. Maybe a Nautilus 2S as I believe it will fit plus you can use the new 0.4 ohm coils in the same wattage range you are currently using.

Alternatively buy a new bigger mod that can fit the bigger tanks on? I use the Nautilus 2S on an Aspire Zelos and it fits fine if that helps at all. Only issue is the coil change is still a little bit of a faff

Thank you all, thats given me alot to think about! I totally never thought about the size of the tank vs the size of the mod. Im not too bothered but it may be a good excuse to buy another one anyways haha. Looks like that is something else I am going to have to look into!

All is not lost. If you prefer rebuilds to stock, you can buy pre-made RBA coils. It's not as cheap as making them from scratch but it's still a lot cheaper than throwing away a stock coilhead that would be perfectly serviceable if only you could re-wick it. And you have a lot more versatility with regard to resistance options. Maybe get yourself a variety pack, quite a few makers do those.

For a stick coil sub ohm tank you can’t go wrong with the Falcon tank from Horizon tech
