Hi,

I have an issue with my revenger X, on every new coil, no matter what, I get burnt hits just the next day after using any new coil. I tried replacing my coils 5 times.

I always keep my tank filled and never vape until the end of the e-juice. I tried going back down to 40W but still the same issue, I vape for a day and it looks fine, on the next day when I vape I taste burnt hits.

I searched about this, and people said its because of chain vaping, yes I chain vape but does it actually ruin the coil after only one day ? how long should I wait after each hit ?

I'm an ex-smoker and chain vaping really helps me when the nicotine hits.

here is a picture of the latest coils that has burnt taste, it looks new to me, but still has burnt taste for some reason

hi and welcome to the planet.

few questions

what is the mod set too. wattage, TC temp control, bypass etc
what wattage are you vaping at
what puff type, soft normal or hard
which ohm coil are you using and what is its rated wattage
what make of juice are you using and what vg/pg ratio
are you priming your coil by dripping juice on all the cotton holes and down the top.
are you starting low. if you vape at 50w start at 20w and turn up a few watts every couple of puffs

Try introducing yourself first and then lots of help will come your way.

Doesn't look to me like the cotton itself is burnt. Looks like the juice has burnt which has turned sections of the wire black. If you pulled out the wire you would be able to scrape that black shit off. Unfortunately, that's not possible to do when the coil is intact. Probably a high percentage of additives in your juice be it sweetener or flavourings.

No stock coil likes being chain vaped. Aside from the wicking, you're not letting the coil cool between each vape. The heat is too much and you're frying your juice which is turning black and binding to your coil.

Slow down. If you need more "hit" buy higher strength juice.

Just my 2c.

My mod is at default settings (I rested everything), wattage is at 40W currently.

I'm vapping at 40W currently. Before I used to be at 60W.

My puff type is normal.

My coils are SMOK V8 baby Q2 at 0.4 ohms, it says the best settings is at 55-65W

The VG/PG part is not clear on the bottle, but its elemntal e-liquid gust grape candy and the second one is heep it 100 blue slushie iced.

Yes i'm priming it.

I start usually at 30W then go up to 60W but now I only go up to 40W.

Thanks.

I really like chain vaping, I don't think I can stop it even with higher strength juice.

smok coils are shite plain and simple with dreadful QC

both juices are 70vg
are you adding nic shots and if yes are they 100%VG as adding 2 to a 100ml bottle will make the juice much thicker.

are you chain vaping straight away at 30w. the idea is to build up gradually and then chain vape after theve had time to bed in the juice fully.

Smok stock coils are motherf**ckers for short lifespan, chain vaping only adds to that, but here's a little tip that should help you to get them lasting a little longer:

Every 5 or 6 hits open and close the filler cap to let air in, it helps wick faster, I've been using this trick for a couple of months + and my stock coils last longer.
