What's new

I gots me a baby octopus! eek!

V Max's can be a bit fierce with home brews I've found, if you can't vape at 3v then try another mod/batt.

Daz

A bit fierce, the man says. Under statement of the year that one. Just dropped down to 3v and yes much better. More of a dense fog now, instead of the pyroclastic flow that it was.

anthonyb im new aswell bud at this dripping game , but I have seen some pros on Youtube and watched there basic vids. Quality materials from Stealth vapes and other vendors available . Trial and hopefully no error . Is your d.i.y strawberry ok ???

Really? Why would you do that? Won't it go black and crusty or melt?

If its a proper silica wick no, should just glow,it cleans off any residue left from making it and I think makes it soak liquid better but no so sure on that one

What he said. how long it glows for before going whitish, is a bit scary on the cheap stuff I'm using :O

Eek. Should I do that now then? It has liquid on it. I bought some ekowool from ecigwizard. I don't have a gas hob. Will a lighter do?

Silica melts at 1600C a gas hob flame will do well to heat wick to more than 1000C so no it won't melt.

You can actually clean up wicks using the coil that's wrapped around it, pulse it a few times with no e-liquid on it at all until it stops hissing and it should be fine.

If you're dripping into a mini ocotpus then about 10 drips or so will saturate it nicely, ideally you want the wick to be soaked and a couple extra drops, for a baby octopus that's about 10 drops using the wick that comes with - less if you rebuild it with less wick (if you put too much in it leaks out of the air hole)

Drippers should taste a lot better than a clearo does if it tastes plasticy you either haven't got enough juice on the wick (when you drip, drip onto the wick not just into the hole) or there is gunk on there that needs cleaning off (probably the latter)

It'll work best on your MVP.

Not unless you rinse it off first, it probably won't make much difference now, whatever you do don't flame wick that has e-liquid on it, and don't use a lighter (lighter flames are orange so you'll just coat the wick in soot)

Thanks. I did put too much liquid in because it did start coming out of the air hole.
