What's new

I know I'm doing something wrong

Both tanks need to be used in vw mode. The tc mode is used mainly with rta tanks when you are using a suitable wire - like stainless steel.

A quick search shows that there are .16 ss coils for the cleito 120 (I don't own the tank myself). If the coils are in fact stainless steel you can use them in tc-ss but 300c is a bit too much. Stainless can be used in both wattage and temp control. Whether you use one mode or the other start low and build up your watts or temp until you are happy and comfortable with how it Vapes. Makes sure you prime your coils too. One last thing. If you are indeed using kanthal coils I would check out the mod with who sold it to you. A temp control mod will pretty much always automatically jump to wattage mode if you try temp control with kanthal as it can't read the temp variation appropriately. When buying replacement coils, stainless is always a good option as it gives you both options and is a preferred wire for many apes. Like me! :) Hope you get it sorted @BenR94

Thanks for all replies
Have changed to a fresh coil & to watt mode. Started at 40w & is much better. Will slowly crank up the watts through the day to find what works best. Also got a Smok TVF8 Baby Beast tank. Will that need to run in watt mode aswell?
Yeah all the tfv8 coils are kanthal... so always run them in variable wattage mode

and even if you could run them in TC........ 300c ? ...... :11: yeah, that's hot compared to a vape pen!
