What's new

Igo-L or Octopus

The igos look nice in stainless but are a pig to put an extra hole in no amount of drilling will touch it! the w has 2 holes but they are too small so need enlarging to 1.5 mm or so. In comparison the Octopus as simonsays are softer alloy metal easier to mod.

To sum it up the Igos look great but dont perform as well as the Octopus which doesnt need dual coils as the air chamber is small enough to match a dual coil setup Igo!

So form over function ? up to you to decide :)

Just ordered myself an igo-w from Grey Haze and a nice lot of wire, mesh and wick from Stealthvape.
Would of got the igo from Stealth too but he's out of stock.
Hopefully the Christmas post won't delay them to much.

Igo l for me. The fact that it's 304 grade stainless steel does it for me. And it's easy to work with and performs great.

And from those major points of merit Clint I am wondering what the fuck you are doing with it nuts.gif Ooh! suit you Sir!

info: stainless steel grades.
two common ones (there's many more) we deal with in vaping world.
303
and
304

303=slightly higher sulphur content, this makes it easier to machine (lathe) but means it cant be welded
304=a pain to machine, but can be welded

attys should be made from 304 or better, but many are made from 303 and we are all still alive and will continue to be.

304 work hardens, which means, as you bring a tool to it, the area under the tool hardens (like a drill bit is hard, or a file) which means it really doesnt like being machined. (thats probably why some of us have such a hard time drilling another hole into our drippers...304 stainless...you actually have to inflict trauma into the metal to get it to cut....pussfooting with a hand drill wont cut it...it'll get hard as you try drill it)

If you or you dad or cousin or brother or knew somebody had a machineshop, then this rhyme will be familiar

303, she's for me
304, she's a whore

(sorry for the bad word, but its a traditional rhyme so it stands)

there is also 304L, which is a halfway point between these two

304 stainless top cap + 22 watt Dremel-clone drill(drill-bit so small it'd probably fit through a dog hair)took me 3 hours of lying on the floor with cap held in pliers to make a hole for the bigger drill-bit.I did intend making more holes in the cap for improved airflow but that session really really pissed me off.I got out the Wolf electric drill (variable speed)and it took me under 5 mins to make 2x2.5 mm holes with the more powerful drill last night. The difference in the dripper to before the extra holes is amazing, easy lung hits and huge cloud from a 1.7 ohm coil(only got Vamo works atm so no sub-ohming)
