Sorry if this is old news and has already been posted elsewhere on the forum but atm I'm at giddy as a school boy.

So, I just managed, after a fair bit frustration to update my x cube to SS. Been itching to try the crown coils in temp mode since I got it, and all I can say is OMG. To say I'm impressed is an understatement.

Currently have the 0.5 ohm coil in there at 520f, soft setting and the TCR at the default settings (0.00100).

If anyone out there hasn't tried this yet, I advise you to give it a go and let me know what you think. I for one am converted

Glad to hear mate! I'm going to give stainless a punt soonish. You still running 1.092? Am going to prob downgrade to 1.08 this weekend as I was happy with the TC then and it's been a pain in the arse since upgrading. Been meaning to run some cotton dry burn tests so might do that with 1.092 and then again with 1.08 and see what's what. I actually got a bloody dry hit the other day which pissed me off no end as the ipv d2 has been flawless since getting it and have consigned the xcube to Rda kanthal duty until I can be bothered to fiddle again. Actually most of today I've been running a mech and dripper lol

Hi Sean. Yes still running the latest firmware. Only issue i've had with this is not being able to upgrade to SS, which wasn't the fault of the x cube, it was the shitty app. All sorted now. If your vape is still weak in TC mode with 1.092 m8, just raise the resistance. I have learnt that being out by as little as .01 can effect your temp by as much as 10f.

Bit more of a play today with the SS coils but so far so good. They don't seems to gunk up as quickly as the nickel coils either, and the ramp up and cool down times are a lot quicker.

Crown SS coils Day 2.

Still at default settings across the board and the flavour and vapour is just stellar (500f).

As can be seen in the pics, the power seems to hold steady at 40w. In the process of running this tank dry to test dry hit prevention, whick shouldn't take long, lol.
