What's new

I'm scared

Hi Judy,

Everyone has given you some really good advice. I'd like to add that make sure you measure your nicotine carefully - I made a batch up a few months ago and overdid the nic without realising. One of the doctors at work pointed out that my "mystery illness" bore all the hallmarks of mild nicotine poisoning! Sure enough, I diluted the batch down - no more symptoms! I eventually worked out that I had read the wrong line on my e-liquid calculator!

The only other thing I would point out is that you should never use flavourings that contain any kind of oil. The flavourings from vaping suppliers are pg/water based etc. Some food flavourings contain oil. If you inhale oil/fat you can develop a condition called lipid pneumonia which is fairly uncommon outside of certain industries (popcorn manufacture, for example) and is usually diagnosed late as a result which makes treatment difficult. It's definitely something you would want to avoid - so always go for recognised flavourings from reputable suppliers.

Four words: Belgian Waffle, Bavarian Cream. :59: I have produced Vaping Gold with those and a drop of RY4 flavouring!

Rest assured though - I am a complete muppet and manage to mix my own without incident (with the notable exception, of course!).

Hope this help?

Cheers!

Lee

Well i went a little bit crazy and bought a load of different flavours, started off with just single flavours which all went well, just made a tropical mix of pineapple, mango, passionfruit and a hint of coconut and its not three bad at all :)

Ha ha, I did exactly the same Judy - loads of flavours - most of which ended up being "mentholised!". I was particularly proud of my chocolate orange liquid - except everyone else thought it tasted like musty marmite and orange! Now it's just the Waffle-Cream-RY4 mix for me! :courage:

OP - if you have Microsoft Excel and want a simple mixing note pad, recipe book and calculator - PM me your email addy and I will send you a copy. I have more complicated stuff for mixing premixed juices too - but - best to keep things simple for now :)

I have made all sorts of mixes. Most of the tobacco ones were horrid. Some, like the chocolate I get nagged for regularly are quite complex. Some (apple, strawberries & cream) are very very simple. Ethyl Maltol is, for me, a must. It doesn't sweeten much, but it makes flavours pop and burst into life.
