Hi peeps, I have been mixing my own eliquid for a while now. I usually mix at 70\30 pg/vg at 12mg of nicotine. However over the past month my nose lining has become inflamed. After reading some of the threads here I think I may need to go 60/40 or even50/50. Now my problem is I have 2 bottles of 250ml of 70/30 at 12 mg nic already mixed. How much VG and nic do I add to make it 60/40 at 12 mg nic. Please keep it simples. Cheers.

There is no flavour in this. I normally mix all my basics all together then mix flavour as and when.

you are going to struggle to get it to stay at 12mg, if you add pg then the ratio of base to nic will go down, say if you emptied 25ml out of each bottle and added 25ml of pg then the nic would go down to 10.5mg if ive worked it out correctly...

Also, if you add PG and Nic, your flavour ratio would go down

one solution is to make up a 500ML solution of 70/30 VG/PG so when combined with the 2 x 250 you have should then balance out to a 50/50 solution. i would say that you shouldnt have to make it stronger than 12mg nic cos by combining your not actually diluting.
( no diff if you added the 2 x 250 bottles together its still a 12mg nic base.
if its unflavoured of course you have to then allow for the nic reduction when you add flavour ( as that is diluting ) so if you added 10% of flavour instead of 1000ml at 12mg nic you would end up with 1100ml at a 10% nic reduction so that would be 10.8 nic ( if my maths is right )

you dont mention what nic base you use 72 or 54?

based on 72 to make 500 ml currently at your 70 /30 unflavoured 12mg nic .. thats 83.33 nic base. 308.33 pg and 108.33 VG

( assuming your nic is 72 pg based )
for a 50/50 you need 83.33 nic. and 208.33 pg and vg )
to make a 30/70 pg vg base 500ml you need 108.33 pg and 308.33 vg

so to end up with a 50/50 pg vg solution of 1000ml thats 166.67 nic
and 416.67 each of pg and VG.

so in theory by just making a second batch then mixing that should equal correct quantities
