Hi All,

Thank you for the help and answers in the other thread I posted - I've decided the Zenith and Zlide tanks just aren't for me. I love the design of them, I'm just so used to the iSub tank giving me much more, I've decided to order some more tanks.

I've ordered the Plex tank and the Scion 2 tank - I love the slide to fill mechanism.

I lack any real knowledge on coils, but what I'm reading is that they appear to accept the same coils - Does anyone know if this is the case please? and if it's any of the scion coils that will work in both tanks?

I've ordered a small pack of the Scion II 0.15ohm Plexus coils.

Additionally, these state they work from 60W-110W - I can vape these a lot lower than that quite safely, right?

Thanks again!

Hi, I have both those tanks and you can if you like make a Frankentank out of the two. The Scion 2 top and glass will fit on the Plex base. The reason I did that was because the Plex can be a bit of a pain to fill with the coil top so close to the fill port. You either fill in ultra slow motion or you get overflows. Alternatively you can use needle tip bottles to fill them ok. The Scion 2 top though you can fill with any bottle as fast as you like. The base of the Plex gives the best open air flow, the Scion 2 is a little restricted in comparison. Either way they a good tanks.
Yes they accept the same coils no problem. Vaping below 60 gives a slightly unsatisfactory vape flavour wise but from 60 to 70 is great. Going too low may give some spit issues as it could be too low to vapourise the juice properly.
These are the needle tip bottles good for the Plex. You can get them for 40 to 50 cents aud, not sure in UK money.

I agree with @Tazz

I only have the plex tank. The fill hole on the plex is a bit restrictive and you do have to fill it quite slowly. It takes the Scion coils so no problem there. It is better at higher wattages though. I tried it at 40-50w and it spat a little so probably better just whacking it up to 60w, the airflow is good enough that it's not too much at that wattage and the flavour is a lot better.

Brilliant, thanks guys - I might have to have a look at those bottles. The ones I buy have a pretty thin nozzle, but it sounds like I could need those even thinner ones with that tank.

I'll give it a go on 60W straight off, see how I do with it - I ordered straight from Innokin this time around, so have to wait a few days for delivery

Hi mate. Just don't forget to slowly ramp the new coil up. I use them but my misses vapes the ScionPlex Frankentank every day. Start 45, several puffs at that then raise it to 50 a half a dozen on that then 55 for the same then your ok.

Thanks for the heads up Tazz - I wouldn't have thought to do that at all, I'd have just smashed it at 60 and hoped for the best!

ramp up is a must to prolong the life of coils. start at half your sweet spot wattage and turn up every few puffs. also dont forget to prime the coils first so drip a few drops on all the cotton around the coil and then put in tank.

Brilliant, thanks for the advice MrDJ - I swear I still have so much to learn about vaping!
you will get there mate. took me a few months even to know what steeping was.
always someone online to give advise and there is no such thing as a silly question so if you get stuck just ask away.
