Installing A version on B Smok alien

In my case i didnt buy it of an official smok store...and that store gave me 6 months warranty 2 years ago so i cant do anything

Hi and welcome.

Firstly, I like Smok, my Alien has been with me for 20 months now, and is starting to fall apart. But I still love it.

For your Alien, 2 years is good going, a lot of aliens don't make it to 1 full year, let alone 2. The fact that after 2 years you now fine the need to refresh the firmware, suggests that the mod was on it way out slowly anyway. But there has always been an issue with doing the firmware, even with the correct version. The slightest deviation from the instructions will kill it. Either the batteries left in, or the fire button not kept pressed in properly, are the main 2 reasons.
I've never gone down this route myself (not needed to), but when you say the PC won't recognize the Alien, does it just not see it (the alien is dead) or does it say "unknown device connected" (or something similar ) which would suggest the Alien is still alive, and you just need to find a work around to get the firmware done.

If you've been using it for over 2 years, I can only say you've gotten good use out of it. If you google a bit, you'll see plenty horror stories about Smok Aliens dying a lot sooner. But be that as it is, you won't get much support from any Chinese brand after such a period, they count on people consuming things a lot faster (and a lot of people do).

If you want something reliable, something you can get support on even after 2 years of heavy use, I can only recommend buying a DNA device (doesn't matter much what brand) and Evolv will always go out of their way to get you proper support. They are more expensive but it's well worth the investment, not just for the support but also the quality of vape you get.
