Hi,
I am new round these parts, and wanted to say hi to my fellow modders.
I thought it would be good to post a few pics of my work so far, I have been playing around for about 12 months now and hopefully I will be useful.
Here is the first MOD I completed, it was finished around xmas time and is working very merrily. I could do with putting a better battery compartment in at some point but that's on a long list of jobs to do!
I managed to assemble new microswitches and board behind the existing + and - buttons for the DNA control and switch behind the trigger on the back for the fire button. I went for a removable 18650 rather than a charger.
My second MOD is a nice simple ally box mod, simple design with a removable 18500. This was quick and easy and more time was spent getting a decent finish on the outside than anything else. Then for some reason I got an overwhelming urge to try my hand at engraving, and thought it would be great to try it out on my nice shiny mod, well its there now!
My last MOD was a little Woody, and I am really rather fond of this one. It is made from fired ash with 5mm brass top and bottom caps and incorporates a GP Paps 2.5 switch(because i think these are the best around) It has an adjustable 510 connector and has very good conductivity which I wan't expecting. It has a real heft to it and great feel in the hand, but then it was designed to fit in my hand so I would say that!
Hope you guys don't mind me posting this lot up, but it's nice to share with people that understand that urge to modify + DIY
