Hi,

I am new round these parts, and wanted to say hi to my fellow modders.

I thought it would be good to post a few pics of my work so far, I have been playing around for about 12 months now and hopefully I will be useful.

Here is the first MOD I completed, it was finished around xmas time and is working very merrily. I could do with putting a better battery compartment in at some point but that's on a long list of jobs to do!
I managed to assemble new microswitches and board behind the existing + and - buttons for the DNA control and switch behind the trigger on the back for the fire button. I went for a removable 18650 rather than a charger.

My second MOD is a nice simple ally box mod, simple design with a removable 18500. This was quick and easy and more time was spent getting a decent finish on the outside than anything else. Then for some reason I got an overwhelming urge to try my hand at engraving, and thought it would be great to try it out on my nice shiny mod:doh:, well its there now!

My last MOD was a little Woody, and I am really rather fond of this one. It is made from fired ash with 5mm brass top and bottom caps and incorporates a GP Paps 2.5 switch(because i think these are the best around) It has an adjustable 510 connector and has very good conductivity which I wan't expecting. It has a real heft to it and great feel in the hand, but then it was designed to fit in my hand so I would say that!

Hope you guys don't mind me posting this lot up, but it's nice to share with people that understand that urge to modify + DIY

Happy Vaping

Welcome from a man with no mod making skills what so ever, like all of above but hmmm woody /dribble

I've seen the wii controller first hand - it doth rock ... Mightily

I am so Envious!!! I'm Pretty Good at DIY so I think I'm going to have a go at building something eventually, as soon as I get time in-between doing jobs around the House and sorting out my Three Kids Houses!!! Lovely work though Mate I'm well impressed!!!:clapping:

Beautiful work, especially the wood and brass mod, i'm in the middle of doing a wood and metal mod myself and will post photo's when i've finished. Nowhere near as good as yours tho, mines a bit rough and ready:30:

They put my efforts at building mods to shame,I am restricted by lack of tools, lack of decent eyesight and severe lack of patience. All 3 of my box mods are made with Hammond type enclosures(from China so all have RM dents on top of the shit casting)and contain little else bar the mosfet & lipo cell packs.I'm thinking of a wooden box mod next, though it will likely end up huge as I love the 4 x 1000 MaH lipo cell pack as it gives me approx 30 hours of 0.22 ohm heavy vaping and performance (voltage drop) is brilliant(0.1 V @ 0.3 ohms, rising to 0.19 V @ 0.1 ohms)though the latest box has copper brake pipe for the "wiring" which was a chunt to solder(killed both my 30 watt & 100 watt irons trying to get 1" of pipe to solder to a small rectangle of copper plate)but I think both irons were well past their service life as the new 50 watt iron did the job easily. When I finally decide on 510 connector,& decide on type of wood(I have some Brazilian mahogany)and the GF allows me to buy some woodworking tools.

Very nice set of mods there mate :)
