Is a Provari worth it??

Need to get myself a vv/vw mod. I've been dead set on getting myself an iTaste VTR but after hearing of some of the problems people have been having with them it's putting me off a bit. Was also going to do an order for loads of bits from FT but hearing stuff about them puts me off buying a load of bits from them.

So, what I want is to have one decent vv/vw mod to own. I want it to use an 18650. And I want it to be good!

I'd probably rather spend less money, but if a Provari is worth it then I will spend it. I'm not really into buying loads of different mods (especially as the wife will get marked keep seeing additions in my collection!), so would want one decent one.

Can you tell me if this is a wise choice, whether there are alternatives for that price that are worth considering, and if not, can you get a stainless Provari?!

Thanks
An Indecisive Matt

I'd say yes, if you can afford it. I've got one and it's never missed a beat.

That said, since I've got it, I've not looked for another VV device and so other contenders may be out there that are now considered better!

Edit - to clarify, I'm a buy once, buy good and it will last, kind of person!

I have a brushed Provari.............I've always assumed it's stainless?

It was expensive, but has performed flawlessly since I bought it, it's built like a brick shit house, but it's only vv not vw. Not really an issue though.

Try and get one with Blue LED's, apparently worth more and sell better if you ever decide to sell it....go figure!

I bought a "mini" then added a set of twins so I can use 18500's and 18650's, the twins gives it a bit of "something"!!......also added a hippo so it now has a square top when needed and air control as well.

The difference between provaris and other vv mods isn't as great as it used to be and you can get stuff that does a lot more than the provari can do. But the quality of the provari is great and it feels really nice to use. It is a solid and dependable work horse. If you are looking for loads of features then look else where, but if you want something that does exactly what it says it does then the provari is for you. They are expencive but in my opinion they are worth it, but they still split opinion. It's ine of those things that you have to see and use to really appriciatte I guess. I still love my purple one but would love to get a zombie edition :)

Had my Provari for over a year now and it's my definite 'go to' device, solid piece of kit, love it :lovesign:

As an aside I have 2 VTR's and they have both been performing faultlessly.
They are both version 1's with the rotating ring too.

A lot of the time you only hear the negatives on the forums.
In fact I currently own 5 Innokin mods and none of them have ever missed a beat.

That said, I would like to add a Provari to the arsenal at some point but I won't do it until they add variable wattage. The Provari's I have tried all feel very well built though and if I was only going to own one mod I would probably make it a Pro-v.

personally i would look at a dna device. but as always its down to personal preference.
stig on ukv makes one called the nucleic for £135 - bargain!

Never understood the draw of the Provari, by looks alone, but especially after finding out how they impose the price upon vendors and threaten to withdraw them if anybody tries to sell below the RRP.

Grubby business practise in my book which put a block on me ever considering one. But then I prefer mech mods anyway so my opinion is wholly irrelevant :D

I'm not keen on the Provari's looks at all, but if it produces a good consistent vape then I'm all for it. That Pipeline is much nicer to look at. Will look up DNA now.

Mawsley, I agree on the price fixing, it is lame, but hopefully by now people will know if the price reflects the performance of the machine.
