Is a Provari worth it??

Need to get myself a vv/vw mod. I've been dead set on getting myself an iTaste VTR but after hearing of some of the problems people have been having with them it's putting me off a bit. Was also going to do an order for loads of bits from FT but hearing stuff about them puts me off buying a load of bits from them.

So, what I want is to have one decent vv/vw mod to own. I want it to use an 18650. And I want it to be good!

I'd probably rather spend less money, but if a Provari is worth it then I will spend it. I'm not really into buying loads of different mods (especially as the wife will get marked keep seeing additions in my collection!), so would want one decent one.

Can you tell me if this is a wise choice, whether there are alternatives for that price that are worth considering, and if not, can you get a stainless Provari?!

Thanks
An Indecisive Matt

Well I cannot speak for a Provari but you can check my review HERE of the XPV, if it is of any benefit to you.

I have a Provari and a Provari mini and would totally recommend them. However if you really want an 18650 mod you could get a SvoeMesto Semovar which I also have and it is a great mod and you can go 'hybrid' look with a Kayfun 3.1. Another to consider would be the Dicodes Dani.

I think that Provari has missed the boat by sticking to the VV only option. With the numbers of DNA20 /30 devices increasing Provari would need to offer something really innovative to retain their crown as (allegedly) best device.

I have the mini v2 and the v1 which is very old with the chrome coming off and a bit battered, but it still works great and never let me down, I love both of them, I agree that Provari are now missing a chance to add VW, there are a whole host of good vv/vw stuff out there.

As others have said, personal preference and all that. I was on the same fence as you not so long ago and decided to get one. I haven't regretted it at all. Mine feels really nice in the hand, the build quality is superb and its a consistent and reliable performer. If you get one, make sure you get the extension cap at the same time so you can use the bigger 18490 battery with it.

personally i would look at a dna device. but as always its down to personal preference.
stig on ukv makes one called the nucleic for £135 - bargain!

I can vouch for the DNA20 by StiG. I actually signed up over there just to get one. It is in my hand as I type. The V2 is a bit smaller and uses a single 18650 rather than the dual 18500's that the V1 used. You will have a bit of a wait, but it is worth it.

Can you get a DNA20 tube mod?

Also, what's the definition of a hybrid? Just when you think you've got your head round it all...

I have had a provari mini for 11 months many other mods have been and gone but the provari is always there,it just works and its seems indestructible, one mod I will never get rid of :). Who cares that it is not VW a simple bit of maths and 2 seconds later its done :)
