Yes is the answer to that, Both look genuine by the pictures. Genuine kanger evods have two seals in the base, where knock off's don't. (I have both).
"SS" stands for "stainless steel", that's the outer jacket.
As for the coil heads, (that's all makes that I've ever had), there's always a slight difference in them. Even when they come from the same packet. You buy a pack of 5, that state they are 2.2ohm, and only 1 might actually be 2.2ohm. Some will be 2.0 some 2.4, and anything in between. Some will work better than others, and some will last longer.
It's down to manufacturing tolerances, very slight differences, as in, just a fraction more wire used or a slightly tighter or looser coil, makes a difference to each heads overall performance.
