Is Monopropylene Glycol another name for VG?

For fear of asking a stupid question.

I ordered some VG and received Monopropylene Glycol. I took it this was just another name for VG and made up a sample of juice that I make on a regular basis.

I had been using the Boots Glycerol, but I couldn't get any at the time so ordered the VG online. When I made up the sample it didn't taste very nice. I made up another juice sample and got the same chemical taste.

So today I managed to get my hands on a bottle of the Boots Glycol again and it definately tastes different than the Monopropylene Glycol I received.

So, the stupid question. Is Monopropylene Glycol another name for VG?

Nope, its PG. where did you order from and are you sure its vg you ordered? Id email them and explain they sent the wrong liquid.

I'm a dickhead. I had bottles of PG and VG from different sources in the cupboard and I wasn't paying attention.

This will teach me not to try to make juice when my Sons call round.
