is volt display wire too thin?

My mod is going to have a voltage display, and I think the wires are too thin. my whole mod is using 30amp rated wire
but this wire looks like 1/2mm which I don't think will carry the 30 amps I might use.
Here is a really crap drawing of the setup. maybe I'm wrong or wiring it wrong...

You will cook the display if you use it like that. To measure voltsge you need the meter positive at the 510 positive and the meter negative to the battery negative.
