Hi guys and girls.

Got my itaste the other day, stuck a kanger protank on it, popped an 18350 battery in it, found a wattage I was happy with which seemed to be about 8 and vaped away happily. What's the problem I hear you ask. Well 24 hours later with a fully charged battery I started to get a really burning acidic taste. Not a problem I thought all I need to do is change the coil which I did. Had a few drags all good. On about the 4th or 5th drag I started to get the burning acidic taste back. I thought maybe it's the liquid with I changed then exactly the same problem. If I lower the itaste to about 3w or 4w the burnt taste goes but I'm not getting much vaper. Any ideas?

Stick another tank an iclear or something see if its still happening

Did that it's fine on my kanger t3s but both my protanks are giving me a burnt taste with new coils on.

First of all @levellerswhat ohms are the coils in the protanks? It may also be related to a lack of liquid getting in quick enough. Are they standard coils or diy?

It's reading at 2.0 ohms. They are standard.

Well although there is no reason why they wont work, I found doing a fresh coil and wick at around 1.5 - 1.8ohms works better than the replacement heads in my Protank 2.

Yep agree sounds like a wicking problem. If you have a airflow controller you can try tightening the draw which will in turn increase the negative pressure in the tank as you draw and pull through more liquid, it does however increase the chance of flooding the coil.

Alternatively take a pair of teasers and gently remove topwick a strand at a time until the problem ceases, used to have to take out an entire wick on the original protanks

Thanks guys. I've ordered some wire and wick. Gonna have a bash at diy. Bit nervous!!

I had the same with my PT2 now run 1.8 ohm coil on a 2mm wick with no flavour wick and it's fine.

Sounds like a wicking problem, Youtube removing flavour wick from protank - that should solve it...
