jacvapour advice please

Im new to this.

Had a heart attack in Feb and stopped smoking for 3 weeks. But the more I fancied a bottle of wine the more I worried about smoking again, so I bought a 10 Motives disposable from Tesco. It was brilliant and I used them for seveal weeks but eventually I wanted to go for a rechargeable option to save money.

After a fair bit of online research I went for a Jacvapour kit. I've had it for less than a week and Im having a few problems with it.

I have a load of mouth ulcers for starters which appeared 2 days ago. Coincidentally they appeared as I found that the cartomisers leak. There is a horrible sweet taste on the bung every so often.

I have started to keep the e-cig level at all times to try and stop the leaking.

Also the carts dont seem to last as long as I was expecting. The 10 Motives disposable lasted for 8 days at first and then a bit less as I started to get used to it.

I have used 3 carts in a week with the Jacvapour system.

Its a real shame because the Jac system is much higher quality than the 10 Motives one. But I find myself going back to a disposableone once the battery has recovered a bit.

BTW I used to smoke Silk Cut Silver. 10 Motives disposables are 16mg and I went for 12mg Jac carts.

Any advice greatly appreciated, thinking of sending the Jac back.

Hi Olvis, welcome to POTV I started off on the jacvapour and they are a decent product. You may be chuffing on them more to achieve your appropriate nic level if you went for 12 instead of 16mg. You may find that the cartos are filled with 70pg/30vg, pg carries taste, vg creates more vapour, some people have a low tolerance for pg, and that could be contributing towards the ulcers, but yes, to manage liquid leakage, do not have the cartos tilted upwards, and give the top a bit of a wipe every now and then. I think jacvapours do a vg heavy option for their eliquids and pre-filled cartos too, but am not certain on that.
Disposables tend to carry more eliquid, but I would only get a day out of one myself, with something like the jacvapour cartos, you can refill them, and I would have three batteries to keep me covered, two usually on the go, one recharging.
It also may be worth checking out ego-style devices, which give more oomph to your drags, last longer between charges, and open up the variety of cartos/atomizers/tanks that you can use, some of which will hold far greater quantities of eliquid, hence last longer.
But, you may be perfectly content with the kit that you have once you suss it out a bit more, any questions, just ask, maybe a certain amount of what I just said means bugger all to you, but best of luck anyway.

Stick with it as it is a good kit and good supplier , I also had a bit of trouble at first with mouth ulcers and tried different supplies of juice but can't find one to suit my mouth,BUT I now have a DIY mixing kit from E-liquid labs again another good supplier so now I am well happy with a comfy and tasty ( smoke ) next best to my old roll ups ,stick with it

Get yourself a drip tip and some extra large cartomizers, firstly this will help with the mouth ulcers as there is less leaking towards your mouth and secondly an extra large cartomizer holds more liquid so less refilling!
This is also a cheap option as you should be able to pick up a drip tip and 5 cartomizers for about £10

Hello and welcome to the Planet, congrats an the switch and finding us here , It`s never nice when Carts leak, juice is great to vape but not to eat and as others have stated above perhaps an eGo type may be better for the sheer variety of tanks and stuff that can be fitted on them, however there is quite a difference in size of the units although the battery life is also greatly extended so more puffs between charges. Keep us informed as to how you get on, and as always any questions..just ask .

hi and welcome im new too used to smoke 40 a day at least and rollies too i got a ego t device and stopped smoking i cant advise in the other system but my ego has been great a little leakage but not much plenty of cartos atomisers to try out to get the best system to suit you just stick with it and most of all dont go back to the ciggies mate keep trying different things you will find one to suit theres so many out there good luck hope all goes well for you
