I know @City461 has an octopus so he might be able to help you with that. If I remember correctly he really likes his. Another forum member had ordered one recently, an orange one, but I can't remember who it was. Not sure on the Svapiamo ones but I think they are quite a well known company so I'd guess at least decent.

Lots of good suggestions guys. Looks like a gap in the market for something reasonable priced but has the looks of these more bespoke devices.

I had considered the Frankenskull clone but heard it gets melted or something.

Don't think I'm ready to construct my own just yet maybe in time.

Looks like I might have to settle for a reg until something pops up.

The Frankie clone has to be the winner. And for five quid you can upgrade the 510 by buying a decent fat daddy one from modmaker. Everything else inside that mod is as simple as a simple thing.

In all the pics I've seen it should be as easy as that. Mine has been despatched so will update when I do mine and of you need a hand you can always send it my way. (I'm a guitar tech by trade so spend most of my time soldering). But all the other parts included ( including the box) are so straightforward there's not Much to go wrong and you save a fortune on buying the parts independently. The copper is also silver plated.

You beautiful man. Just @me when you get it up and running, i might order from FT soon so I'll probably have the bits by the time you've sussed it. Hopefully I can do it myself with a bit of guidance but I won't be able to do soldering. You got a link for the exact 510 I need to buy so I can check it out?

No problem mate. Again I will update which 510 when it's in my paws and I've measured it. Modmaker and stealth vale always have them so no worries. Will pm you on arrival. The issue the guy had seemed to be due to firing the mod without the bottle inside. as the bottle and battery work together in 3d printed mods for structural integrity it's no suprise a short was formed but as I say a quality strong 510 will protect from any issues.
I will say having now ordered my third pico squeeze for under fifteen quid from ft I am a big fan of these too. Super well made, hits as hard as a mech and has a charger built in and a kick. Such good value. Oh and I can fit over eight mls in the 6.5 ml bottle.
