Guys, just wanted to say thanks for the help, all sorted now.

I cleaned out my Kanger firstly then cleaned and dry burned the coil; Now I get a much better vape.

I think I need to get myself some wick so I can just change that whenever I clean it out. I'm going to have a look but I think I need some 1mm wick.

Are there any do's and dont's when it come to buying wick?

cosd Don't bother getting any wick yet, what i always do to brand new coils is pull the stock wick out (carefully,bit by bit) and replace it with some cotton wool off a cotton bud.
Use it till it blows and hopefully by the time it does you will be thinking about building your own micro coils then get wick & wire.
I find you can get away with dry burning stock coils because they are made with Res/NoRes wire. home made coils made with Kanthal etc tend to burn the soft grommet which leads to a burnt tasting vape.
