Kanger Protank - mini review

Does sound like seals are missing. Guess kanger still haven't got their quality control fully in place, that's the only thing that ever let's them down IMO

Grrrr. I wonder why mine is so shite then. It ought to work like any other Kanger. Already lost too much juice. Back in its box for now. I think it's missing some seals or something. When filling it literally pours out of the mouthpiece at the same rate you fill and no I'm avoiding the centre tube just like the T3 and the Evods. I managed to get enough in to invert and Vape but within a minute it was pissing down on to my mod. Not happy

That is the rub, like with my SVD, people want these soon as the vendors get 'em, they come perfectly packaged, and I imagine that there is not much that can be done about it. Real pain in the arse though, mate.

Hold fire cos mine arrived too and I'm anything but happy right now . Leaks like a tap both ends. Looks the nuts. Appears to be genuine. Has everything there that appears in the reviews. But juice pisses away and is not a functional item.

There should be a very noticeable silicone O ring around the base of the thread Mark -on the base unit, the bit that screws into the tank. There's a silicone cap that slides up and down the centre post of the wick unit. There's a rubber grommet at the 510 connctor end that also sorts the electrical connectivity from the coil. There's another O ring at the base of the thread on the wick coil unit - where this screws into the base. If you haven't got all these - you have a faulty unit. The cap on the wick/coil unit and the 2 O rings are clear silicone. The grommet on the 510 connector was a white flexible rubber / silicone type material.

In summary:

1) Wick unit - white rubber grommet just above 510 connector
2) Wick unit - silicone cap on centre post section
3) Wick unit - silicone O ring around base of thread that screws into base unit
4) Base unit - silicone O ring around base of thread that screws into bottom of tank.
Hope you get it sorted my friend :) .

I think I have all of those seeing your amended post. I wondered whether there was an additional ring inside the base section where the coil head screws in. Hmmm . Flummoxed.

Thanks Bryan123456 so what am I missing here? Compared to yours?

If that's an O ring on the base unit thread in pic 1 and 3, it's the same. I have rewicked and recoiled (and vaped a half a tank with no problems - i.e. had the guts out of it and reassembled). It should work if its all tightened up unless (a) there's a manufacturing problem (b) you got juice up the centre hole of the tank unit and something syphonic's going on. They do say to take great care not to overfill. The only problem I ever had with Vivi Novas was when I overfilled a mini and that leaked all over the place and continued to do so until I washed it out completely and dried it out completely.

Hope it all turns out to e fine Mark.

Have a look at your spare wick/coil unit? They should be identical. If you are still having problems drop me a line - I have some spare wick coil units and will post you one.

The coils are all the same Bryan123456. Can NOT figure out what's wrong. I HAVE however noticed juice leaks very slightly from the Pyrex tube where it connects with the mouthpiece. Got to be a faulty unit.

With some trepidation I opened up the second one I purchased (one was for the OH) and set it up in EXACTLY the same way (I detected no difference in the kit, grommet, seals etc)

This one is PERFECT. No leaks. No gurgles. Yet anyway. Fine Vape.

Email coming on. Thanks for trying to help though. Obviously first one is a lemon.

Don't you just hate that, when you have the relief of realising that you are not going mad, nor being horrendously incompetent, and then, bugger, emails, post offices...waiting...gah!

Very true. I've made sure they know I'm experienced and am well used to the correct filling methods etc.
Annoying as one was a gift grr
