kayfun info

If you're considering a Kayfun and have never made a coil before its well worth getting a cheap dripper first to practice on. Plenty of choice for less than a tenner.

Yes, the kayfun is easy to build on but whilst you're still learning it's a complete pain in the arse having to drain it of juice to sort out any issues with your build.

Cheers guys, yeah I'm gonna do some research and see if my funds can stretch to getting me set up

Hi guys

I have got the itch again and would like to try something a little different. At the moment my kit consists of a vamo v5 and a protank 2 with adjustable air flow controller. This works well for me but just wondered how the kayfun would work against the protank? My local shop has various kayfuns in, which is the one to go for? I would like one with adjustable airflow ideally. Also how long would the coils tend to last once built?

Cheers

leave the kayfun mate get a taifun much easier t build on u get a better draw and it doesnt whistle

Which model taifun mate?

coils and wicks depends on juice really......I tend to do microcoils in 0.28mm kanthal...they are sturdy enough to rewick.
I rewick generally after 2/3 tanks but the coils could last a month or more if you dry fire to clean them..again depends on type of juice..

I have just bought the kayfun lite plus and have it in my hands now. It came with 2 coils already built and they just need screwing on. Not sure what thickness wire and wick they are. It does look a little daunting I must admit but going to give it a go now :)

I really want to go down the kayfun route too but have never recoiled anything before. Bit intimidating

If us fools can make coils, you can too. And believe me, I am a fool who can build blooming good coils. Get stuck in mate. Its easy.

I've given up with it already :(

I put on the coil and tested the ohms and it reads 0.00. I adjusted the center pin in the vamo as that had got pushed too far down but still no go. My protank works okay as does my mini.

What ohms reading should it say without a coil attached to the kayfun? I tried just a straight bit of wire but it is still say zero.

Any help would be most appreciated

@rob77 - PM me your name and address and I'll put some premise wires inn the post. I use these all the time and they are a piece of piss. Honestly. I hated rebuildables with a passion until @Merino-Teflon showed me the way!

As a thought, your coil isn't touching the deck is it? That will short it.

Offer of premades applies, regardless. :D
