Hello, I'm new to this community and this is actually my first post ever so any help will be much appreciated. My problem is that I recently bought a Kayfun Lite Plus 22mm and it is spitbacking so bad I can't vape it. The first few hits after a break are very enjoyable, but after a little while the hot drops of liquid are burning my tongue and lips. I already tried many variation of builds. Used 28g SS and Ka wires, wraps from 6 to 9, 2mm-2.5mm-3mm, many variations of cotton (denser cotton seems to help but can't fit much more), tried different wattages. I'm using the upgraded mtl center pin (if that matters) and even tried changing the o-rings on the tank. Can you please help me

Spit back usually lies with the Coil Height being incorrect, try lowering it and report back :)

If its spitting from the off then it's wicking too fast.
Can you post a picture of your build so we can see if it's anything obvious?
Hi and welcome ☺

Ss 28g 2.5mm 7 wraps?
I suspect that's coming out at somewhere around 0.65 ohms?
What power are you putting through it?
I suspect you're not giving it enough Watts.
I'd add a couple or three wraps if it's ss and you're vaping mtl in wattage mode.

Yes 0.65 ohms. I'm putting 17w through it. I have never tried 10 wraps, I hope that helps.

According to a coil wrap calculator 17watts is a bit low for that build but would be fine with 10 wraps which should take it up to 1.0ohm.

Make sure the build deck is firmly screwed down into the base section, if it is even slightly raised from the base it will gurgle, flood and/or turn into a spitty nightmare. Make sure the wicks are touching the bottom of the juice well - and the small 'cut out' area on the side of the juice well is covered.

If you are using a 50/50 juice i have found that if you wick a 2.5mm i.d. coil quite firmly and press down the cotton on both sides to measure where to cut (level with the bottom of the juice wells) this should work. Don't thin out the cotton - if it is compressed by the scissors then fluffing it out is OK but essentially if you just cut and drop in it should be fine.

Looking at your wicking job - I wouldn't be happy with the amount of loose fluffy cotton visible between the coil and the top of the juice ports. I suspect it is wicking too efficiently. Try packing the cotton tighter into the juice ports and make sure there isn't a load of fluffy cotton contacting the chimney. It may seem counter intuitive but packing the juice ports a little tighter isn't a problem if you are using 50/50 juice, cutting the cotton so it reaches the bottom of the juice ports and blocks the side cut out is more important.

Hope this helps.
