What's new

Keepin my chin up!

@HAZZA1962 Thanks for the warm welcome mate.

@all My aerotank v2 arrived the other day. I also got a mini protank 3 based on recommendations in this thread. So thanks for all the help and advice. I love both of them, they're so well made, really is a step up from those cheap clearomisers. The build quality is obviously very good and I feel like I am getting my moneys worth. The adjustable airflow is so handy. When I first tried the Aerotank v2 out, the flavour was great but something wasn't quite right. Then I realised it was on quite an airy draw, so I tightened it up and this made a huge difference. It was just perfect for me and I could taste the flavour more. I've seen that they do sell an adjustable airflow attachment for the mPT3 now, but I'm fine with the draw on it. I do like the ability to change the airfow on the Aerotank v2 though, as it's nice to have an airier draw now and then.

On the mPT3 it came with the old coil, but the flavour is still nice. On the Aerotank v2 it has the new upgraded coil, and the flavour is even better. I've got some other upgraded coils so will eventually put that into the mPT3, it's just they arrived the day after so I didn't use them in the mPT3 yet, and I'd already started to use the original coil. I'm sure when I use the upgraded coil in it I'll get even more flavour.

I've got a mpt2 on the way also, so I'll make a note of the differences I observe between that and the mPT3. I think I will leave the 'old' style coil in the mPT2 at first so that I can make a fair comparison between the mPT2 and mPT3.

Well yeah, just thought I'd update you guys. My chin certainly is up! :D

Thanks!

lemon.

Superb mate, really glad the vaping's looking up for you :D
I'm going to do a little review of the Aerotank V2 when I get a few minutes, I'm totally blown away by it!
I think you'd have to go a long way to find something that gives as much performance/pound in something totally reliable that doesn't drip, leak or flood and is so easy to use.
The only bad thing about it is that I'm now seriously considering selling all my other clearomisers and getting a couple more!

Thanks for the update, I did wonder how you were finding it :)

I'm glad you found something that works for you Mate!!! The good thing is if you try something new and your not keen on it you've always got your back up!!! I use my Protanks with Rebuilt coils every now and then when I can't be Arsed fiddling with my RBA's and they still perform pretty well!!!:grin2:

Switch to the Drip

Been vaping for a long time and just switched over to the drip side of things myself. It can be a bit of a hassle, but once you get everything rolling, you won't regret dripping. I had the usual hesitations as everyone else, that I didn't want to have to carry my juice, that it was just easier to use the tank blah blah blah, but once I switched, it became difficult to use my tank, even when I drive. You get such a better flavor and vapor production. And where as you might go through juice a bit quicker, it is still just an all around better way to vape. Ditch the tanks and get an RDA my man.

Hi guys,

Been reading this forum for ages, now decided to sign up. It's nice to be a part of a UK based forum. Nothing against johnny foreigner mind :D Got my first mod recently, MVP 2 Hunter edition which I love the look of. I'm sure it works great, but the iclear16b is beyond bad. Out of 5 coils I ordered, plus the one it came with, I've had barely any flavour on VG or PG juices. Anyway I don't wanna go into detail on this intro post as I've PM'd the vendor and am awaiting a reply. I have no other clearos and refuse to spend any more money on vaping stuff right now (although I nearly did buy an Aerotank Mega today, but I held myself back. Man I've got willpower). Actually I haven't coz I'm back on the rollies again after having not smoked for months. I hope this doesn't invalidate my membership here? Well I admit I didn't read all the forum rules, but I'm a nice bloke and been in a lot of forums for years so I'm sure I'll be fine!

Yeah I feel bad for being on the rollies, but to be honest not as bad as spending £40 plus quid on an MVP 2 and not getting anything out of it because of that damn iclear16b.

Anyway I'm trying to keep my chin up. I'm sure being a part of this forum and making some connections will help. Nice to be here.

Don't go back to the rollies, you need to be strong and "just say no". Honestly, just a few more days and you'll be fine. I've got a kanger protank (a few issues with leakage, but hey, it's much better than fags). Maybe you just need a flavour that you like. Pop into your local shop and try them out. I haven't moved into the mods yet, so far I'm happy with plug & play.

@Panter haha, I was thinking along the same lines. When you think that the Aerotank V2 is say 4 times the price af some other clearomisers, it seems pricey. But when you know how much better it is, I'd rather have one Aerotank V2 than 4 mediocre clearomisers.

Send us the link to that review once it's done mate. Yeah really impressed with it. I used to fill up my tanks with kitchen towel down on the worktop, as there was always some leakage. This thing, and the mPT3 even, no leakage, easy to fill, no problems, just solid as really. I've taken the step up to a more expensive tank just as the right time coz I'm also blown away by the Aerotank V2, so I've been jammie with my timing really. :D Then again there'll always be better to come, but I'm satisfied!
Yeah soz for the late update. The tank took two days to get to me n I wasn't that busy, but somehow I coped with waiting around, lol. Thing is when it got here I had two busy days so this is my first day of really chillin out with it. I love it! I'm only using 'ok' oils from a local B&M shop, n they're 'ok'. Having the Aerotank V2 certainly gets the best flavour out of them. The new upgraded coils seem better than the old ones I think.

@HAZZA1962 Thanks! Yeah it's good to have options isn't it. Yeah RBA's interest me, but I think I'll just enjoy this tank for now. The journey never ends after all, so I'm in no rush :) I do believe I could get even better flavour, but maybe that's down to the quality of the oils I'm using rather the this tank being a world away from RBA's/Dripping. As I've never tried RBA's or dripping, I just can't say from my own experience at least. I'm sure you all have opinions on this though.

@csgoat Thanks for the feedback. Yeah as I said in an earlier post, I did consider dripping, just feel I needed a decent tank before/as well as dripping. The fact that you've been vaping a long time and you've ended up on the RDA's is useful info for me to consider. Cheers again.

Right I'm gonna watch the penalties now. My moneys on Chile. I aint edited this post yet!

Thanks,

lemon.

Edit: Soz I meant my moneys on Brazil! :D

@Judith Thanks for the encouragement Judith. I've got a bit of tobacco left, which I'm smoking now and then. Once they're gone I aint buying anymore, for sure. One thing I noticed with the Aerotank V2 also is the Nicotine delivery. I can pretty much feel the nicotine delivery as well as I do on a rollie. I never found that on any other tank, and I started on 18MG. So it'll definitely keep me off the rollies, as it has a similar feel.

Thanks,

When you say nicotine delivery, what exactly do you mean? I'm just trying to keep on an even keel. In that, I reckon I just need the nicotine. It's not like you get a high or anything. What's the aerotank like?

Judith Well I've already made some comments in this thread on what the Aerotank V2 is like. To state again in general, it's really good! I've read the term 'Nicotine Delivery' and wondered what people meant myself. To me it basically means how quickly satisfied I get from a vape. When I used 16MG oil on a Kanger T3S, I needed to vape more to have my nicotine craving satisfied. With the Aerotank V2 on 16MG oil I was satisfied much quicker when I wanted some nicotine. Like I said, in the same way I had a rollie and was satisfied. So to me this means I am getting the nicotine delivered to me more efficiently. Maybe there are more indepth answers as to how nicotine delivery works, but that's my experience. Again, another reason why I love the Aerotank V2.

Thanks,

lemon.

Well, I'm on 12mg because the 18 gave me palpitations. I didn't know that you could get 16mg (I found that it's either 12 or 18) but I have found that I "smoke" more, but infrequently. In that I'll just have a few drags, then put it down. However my house doesn't smell any more. Also I've found that food tastes different, things that I used to like taste too sweet now. Have you experienced that?

Also, quite wierd - my manfriend (I really don't think that you could call someone over 40 a "boyfriend) who has never smoked, and he really likes the vaping (especially the toffee flavours). I really hope that he doesn't get hooked, He really hated the Marlboros.
Is that right or not???:umm:
