Right first of all the hole where the wick is currently in is less than 2.5mm as my drill bit does not fit in there, am thinking the screw on the right of the picture to the left of the wick hole is in the wrong place as when I tie the negative wire in there it randomly came unscrewed today and rendered the coil you see in the pic useless, secondly I'm using cotton but with my new 1.3ohm coil it wicks then takes a while to wick again, needs to wick faster, anyone know of a quicker wicker? I have silica or mesh currently at my disposal?

Your wick is in the wrong hole, you have it in the filler hole which is smaller, your wick hole is right next to your neg screw,so as in the pick move the wick over one,so the screw is directly to the left of it.if that makes sense.

Every time you vape on it do you have your wick facing you, this is the only way to do it,when you tilt it towards you it should wick.

I had a 1.7 ohm coil in there before with cotton, that's the one in the picture and it wicked fine which ever way I tilted it, and the filler hole is smaller than my wick hole. Will silica wick quicker than cotton and out of curiosity what diameter are your coils on the kraken?

I started with mesh then went on to ss rope but was getting a few dry hits myself so thought i will try silica and its been sound since then,i cant really say what diameter my coils are cos i dont know,i always go sub ohm so all i do is wrap 3 turns of 0.25 kanthal around the silica wick to reach about 0.9 ohms,if you use silica you could just do 5 wraps to bring the res up to about 1.5.,and ive never used cotton so no idea if it wicks better.

Hmm will try silica then tbh worth a shot till I have enough time to FAFF about with getting mesh right, cheers mate, useful advice :)
