For some reason, for me anyways, steeping in plastiuc on my desk for a few days would turn the mix a peppery taste. Even Grants Vanilla Custard went peppery on me (and I never got to experience it like everyone else said it was!) because of the peppery taste.

If you want one similar to GVC add a little bit of Dulce de Leche.

I only use glass for my mixes now anyways and havent had a peppery taste with any of my e-liquids. (Naturally Thinking has nice green and blue ones!)

Thanks ( Let`s see if I have this right ) Natasha? Out of curiosity is that clear glass bottles you use? I only ask as the first bottles I bought for storing my diy liquids in were Amber. They have been on the go now for about 3 weeks and they have not changed colour much, it might well have something to do with the actual mix being fruits with menthol or the fact there is not enough light getting to them. I have a Plum and Liquorice steeping in a clear plastic bottle and that is changing colour quite fast, as are the four VC mixes which are in clear bottles, thanks again.

oooh, I get a 'peppery' taste quite often, even from juices that i've bought. Generally it's from custard flavours, but I also get it from Calipitter Chow, both bought and DIY. On reflection, they are always in plastic bottles. Would buying glass bottles and transferring any bought liquids into them help that?

Natasha :P I wish I was a Ukrainian beauty!

I use dark green and amber bottles. I used to look for colour changing to signify the steep was ready, but now I just mix it, leave it and forget it. Unless I am doing something new.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of a vendor for glass bottles? I think I have to give this a go!
