I thought after getting the letter from her this morning and it actually being of some decent worth for a change (how many MP's just don't bother or fob you off?) I would post it up. It is actually interesting that she is defending the democratically voted decision to keep e-cigs as consumer products and recognises that national governments want to push for something else. Anyway, her words are here and better than me just waffling

What are your thoughts?

I like the way she refers to the current proposals as a 'light-touch medicines regime'. A blanket ban on every currently available device is 'light touch'??

I honestly do not think she means to include the current backroom stuff with Art.18 in that statement but more that national governments and bodies such as MHRA want a certain thing which goes against the voted decision in Brussels

government only doing this because of loss of tax

national goverment are missing the tax wish they just put say a 10% levy on them and we could move on

I agree, the tax is a part of it but also you have to think how much the MHRA receives from their paymasters in Pharma to license products within the UK - each country will get the same so where tax is absolutely a concern for them I figure the licensing revenues are a much healthier chunk of change

My letter to Linda McAvan:

Dear Linda,

After long and considered reading of your stance on ecigs I would appreciate it if you could fuck off and die.

All the best,
Dave

Dear Linda.
I can only apologise for Dave and Sassy`s behaviour. They struggle sometimes to get there point across. Therefore I suggest not wasting any time fucking off, but just drop down on the fucking spot.
