As Bangladesh bans vapes this week, I thought it useful to include a list where vaping is banned.

Countries where vaping is banned:
  • Antigua and Barbuda
  • Argentina
  • Bangladesh
  • Bhutan
  • Brazil
  • Brunei
  • Cambodia
  • Colombia
  • Cuba
  • Ethiopia
  • Gambia
  • Hong Kong
  • India
  • Iran
  • Japan (vaping non-nicotine e-liquid is legal)
  • N. Korea
  • Kuwait
  • Laos
  • Lebanon
  • Mauritius
  • Mexico
  • Nepal
  • Nicaragua
  • Oman
  • Palestine
  • Panama
  • Qatar
  • Seychelles
  • Singapore
  • Sri Lanka
  • Suriname
  • Syria
  • Thailand
  • Timor-Leste
  • Turkmenistan
  • Uganda
  • Uruguay
  • Vatican City
  • Venezuela
  • Vietnam
If anyone notices any countries missing from the list, please post, and I can amend the list.
Likewise, the list can be amended as and when other countries decide to join this crazy club, or be taken off when they see sense!

Australia? Anyway I'm sure the list is equally as long for those countries that have banned smoking. :25:

Australia?
Vaping isn't banned in Australia, just stupidly restricted (presently only available from pharmacies in a tiny selection with flavours restricted to tobacco, menthol and mint; and that's from the pharmacies which actually stock vapes).

Seems odd to include Japan and not Australia but there you go.
Well, I suppose the list applies to nicotine-containing vapes then, because in Japan nicotine-containing e-cigarettes are classified as pharmaceutical products and none have been approved for sale.
(Although Japanese citizens can import up to one month's supply of nicotine-containing e-cigarettes for personal use, so maybe shouldn't be on the list?).

There could be separate list that includes countries where vapes are heavily restricted (which feels like most countries these days!), but in what way would you draw the line?

Bulgaria is banning vapes now -
The Bulgarian National Assembly voted unanimously on Feb. 12 to advance a bill that would ban the sale, distribution, and advertising of all vaping products, including zero-nicotine vapes.
Bulgaria has apparently made no attempt so far to obtain European Union approval of the proposed law, which must be done before the law can take effect.

I also notice from this article that Vaping360 have a comprehensive page on -

To be honest I am surprised they haven’t banned it previously as the have a big tobacco growing and manufacturing economy, which seems to be the way things are going.

I wonder what Uncle Bulgaria makes of it.
Uncle Bulgaria hasn't got a parliament seat. 😉.
Vaping in Bulgaria isn't big, it's as cheap to smoke.

A fragile political coalition decided to ban vaping, simply to show the coalition can work together. Politics, fuckers can't control themselves, next month they will fall apart, then I will get some vape supplies. 🙂

Within a weekend of the politicians announcement of the vape ban all online shops have no vape nicotine products for sale.
Out of stock before the ban becomes legalised!

I've enough stock for a month or so, legal or not.
After that I will become a vape tourist in Romania, still legal there, so legal to buy in the EU.

Interesting and testing times ahead.

Wonder how it is going to impact on tourists? I always take enough to see me through the holiday anyway, but there are bans where you can’t buy them, but places like Mexico and Singapore you can’t be fined/arrested for possession of vape gear.
