Ah, that's a shame. I've not been back since then but my mum and dad go there yearly to one of those 5 star all-inclusive places and never mentioned the police state issues. But then again they never leave the complex. They went to Cuba a few years ago and did the same thing, never left their all-inclusive haven. I've wanted to go to Cuba pretty much my whole life but to fly all the there and not leave your hotel is a bit odd. Love them to bits but they're of their generation, I guess.
OT next time I'm in Wigan I'll pay a visit.
