Looking after batteries - wraps

I've found this thread just in time, my batteries have got little nicks in them and I was unaware of the problem, I've just ordered 10 wraps from eBay for 1.99.

Ebay mugged you off.

Go to Fogstar. £1.99 for 25.

I've done it with a hairdryer, but I'm not so keen...

I much prefer using a hot air gun (like paint stripper type) - it's higher temperature but takes less time which means the actual cell heats up less.

How much is shipping going to cost me though?

For something that small? £0.90

If you can access the repair centre, the wraps would actually be free...

Also 18650 wraps are a little cheaper at £1.45. £1.99 is for 20-21700.

I recommend going to Fogstar for all batteries/wrap issues. Tried, tested and trusted brand with excellent customer service. They've given me no reason to shop elsewhere in a couple of years now. Also POTV often lands decent discount codes for them so it's a no brainer going to them for me!

I've just successfully re wrapped my batteries for the 1st time, easy peasy :)
