What's new

Looking for best Sub OHM tank.

its a shame as i really do love these geekvape tanks as top fill so no leaking what so ever.

previously my top tank was the original freemax mesh pro but did have quite a few leaks out the air holes but still a great tank.

there was a video posted a coupe of days ago about scratching at the cotton around the coil to losen it a fraction as they are quite compacted. seriously thinking of giving that a go now.
will try and search for the video.

Yes, it’s a good solid tank and leak free. Absolutely no argument there. I’d probably say that was the best way to describe it though… it’s as though the coil is clogged. Something holding the flavour back. I don’t have a YouTube account so I can’t watch that video due to the age restriction. Thanks for posting though mate.

take a small pointed head or watch screwdriver and scratch at all the cotton around the coil to try and fluff it up a little bit to losen it but dont press too hard as that could bend the metal coil inside.

Makes sense. I’ll give it a go now before I change this coil. Anything is worth a try. It’s really starting to taste a bit off.

@MrDJ It actually did the trick. Can’t think why I didn’t think of that. I wouldn’t go so far as saying it’s like a new coil but it’s certainly improved the flavour. I’m getting that lovely aftertaste too instead that nasty taste.

yay, good to hear. thanks to @Willo3092 for posting that video on another thread.

For me the majority of the Freemax tanks produce great flavour from the stock coils. They really are some of the best I've tried.

Been on the Freemax now mate for a couple of days. I went for the Mesh Pro 2 metal tank. Initial thoughts/reaction, not bad. I could really feel those flavours flowing over my tongue on the inhale. That was a first. Flavours have muted now (which is a bit disappointing) but still there. If it stays as is now though until the coil burns out I can live with it. Using the 0.2ohm coil that came pre-installed at 80w. Ordered the extra pack of three with the tank.
I did have a leaking problem with the juice I primed the coil with. Absolutely pissing out it was. Here we go I thought. Took the tank apart made a few checks, screwed everything back (a bit tighter this time). It helped but didn’t solve the issue. Moved onto the Heisenberg and it’s absolutely fine. No leaking (so far) at all and it sat overnight. Dry as a bone when it got up this morning so I’ll just put it down to a thinner juice although it was a 70/30 mix.
Two days in and I can say that I’m fairly happy with it. If it stays as is without any drop in flavour I’ll be over the moon. Time will tell.

Nice one. Glad u sorted out the leaking issue. I'm guessing one of the o-rings wasnt seated right and resembling it did the trick.

I always get very good flavor from all my freemax tanks and the coils do last me weeks of use but I do vape below the minimum recommended wattage for the coils. I favour the longer less powerful draw so my coils will last longer.

Have to give it to you mate, a fine recommendation. Have to admit I wasn’t really expecting much but this thing delivers. I’m on my second coil now and it’s just outstanding. After the initial overload of flavour of a new coil it’s does mute a little bit not to the point where it gets very bland (like the others I’ve tried). It just does not quit.
As for the leaking I mentioned previously, it did leak at first again with the new coil but seemed to seal itself which didn’t take long. I can live with that.
Thanks for recommending mate. This thing packs the punch I was looking for.
