The new batch of RBA's we have now include a 1mm airflow pin. Rocky the owner of LVE wants to make sure that everyone that bought the first version is taken care of, so is sending us a bag of 1mm pins to give to anyone that feels like they missed out.
The ring that covers the 510 threads has changed too with the new version. It now has 3 airflow slots added, which apparently helps with noise from turbulence with the larger airflow pins.
So the plan is that anyone that would like these updated parts can add a note at checkout next time they order and I'll drop them in.
There's more but it's complicated. Good news / Bad news sort of situation.
There's a new firmware that supports RBA mode better. No coil auto detection or wattage limits.
Unfortunately it's not updatable by the end user and needs some sort of special equipment. I'm not sure of the details yet. Rocky is sending me the update device so I can upgrade the firmware for anyone that sends their device in.
**BUT**
It's only going to be possible to upgrade version 2 devices upwards. To find out your device version turn off the device and hold down all 3 buttons for some seconds. If you see v1 then no bueno. If you see a v2 then it's happy Orion II time.
So with a little planning we can line those ducks up with your next order. Send your device in, I'll update it, place an order with a note about the updated parts and I'll ship it all together.
