Hey guys, basically I've had a few RDAs (tobh, trident) and I know the tobh is more focused to cloud chasing so it hasn't really been a favourite of mine. I recently decided to get a magma due to everyone saying how amazing it is for flavour.

I've built it a couple of times; dual micro coil, 28 gauge,0.8ohms & a single micro coil, 28 gauge 1.2 ohms. I'm getting loads of vapor but absolutely no flavour, small hints of it here and there but nothing compared to my kayfun :/ does anyone know what I'm doing wrong despite being a total nooblord? Cheers

Dunno what to say really. Maybe place the coil(s) a little closer to the air holes, play around with the "large, medium, and small" air flow control ring, and, if you are using cotton, try using a bit more, maybe by using a bigger tool to form your coil. (Obviously, making the coil large in diameter will mean less wraps, but it's worth a try, as is trying a "semi microcoil", with very slight spaces between the wraps).
If you are using Ekowool, it takes forever to bed in and get flavour at it's best.

I've played with the air flow with no result & I'm only using cotton. God knows what I'm doing wrong, I think I got more flavour out of my tobh and that wasn't great IMO

I'm very new to the magma too so prob not the person to be able to guide you but can you post a pic of your current build? I'm sure someone might be able to point you in the right direction...

I am only on my second build on the magma, but the tobh is my daily driver and I get awesome flavour from it these days. It took me a long time to get there though, the key was less cotton and getting the position of the coil exactly right in the airflow. That is why I was asking about coil location in the Magma earlier. My new build is better, but I still don't think I have it exactly right. I am going to tweak it a bit more today and see if I can improve matters.

This is my current build. I'm actually using less cotton than I usually do and I've tried moving the coil down but I'm still getting nothing :( the annoying thing is I dropped my Kayfun the other day in the road and now all the bastard does is leaks, so I've got no choice to use my magma. Make sure you have the AFC in single mode and use the smallest airflow.

Will be a tighter draw, more flavour, but less cloud :)

i've tried everything, i was thinking i was just using shitty juice but its from triphammer so its not exactly low quality stuff. god knows whats going on.

thanks guys

I've not got a magma but I have been chasing flavour and clouds and tonight have built my best build yet, 1.7ohms dual coil on 28g kanthal, it's amazing trust me, try upping your resistance and see if it helps, I have found that the higher I go the better which is why I'm gonna try again at just over 2 ohms in a few days but this one is too good to put down for now lol

Quick update: it was the juice I was using. Just put in some wild blue punch by VV and omg, now I know why everyone rants and raves about how good the magma is. Full on flavour!

Thanks for all the advice guys.
