Looking at the site make my vape.com is it worth buying from them as my 1st diy juice

You'll find you tend to pay a premium price if you buy a starter kit just for the convenience of getting everything all in 1. I use vapable (http://vapable.com) for everything DIY and they're fantastic and I totally recommend them

You can add water (or vodka) to thin the VG out if you wish (only really needed if you want very high VG mixes) to make it a bit easier to work with, but everything comes already diluted to what I imagine e liquid companies use for their overpriced crap juices.

Vapable use Royal Mail for delivery, unless you buy any 72mg nicotine where they use ups as Royal Mail now destroy parcels that contain nicotine above 50mg strength. Good luck with the DIY, try using one shot concentrates of flavours you know you like before you get into making your own recipes :)

I used make my vape for my first starter kit. It is expensive compared to other places but the service is good and if you just want everything to get started with minimum hassle then it's great.

I ordered a starter kit one afternoon and it arrived the next morning.

Depends on what ratio you want

I generally mix 70/30 VG/PG so in a 10ml bottle I need around 3ml PG and 7ml VG.

My flavourings and my nic are PG based so (because I'm lazy) I normally aim for 2ml flavourings in total + 1ml Nic and then top it off with VG My nic is 50mg/ml so this means I end up with a 10ml bottle that's normally around 5mg/ml.

If you want to go max VG then it's probably advisable to get VG based nic otherwise I'd get PG based.

PG is thinner and easier to work with than VG - so your nic will be mixed better. You won't need to give it quite so much of a shake before you start ;)
