Man killed as e-cigarette 'explodes', Merseyside fire service says

Well the BBC are essentially Camerons publishing company.. Besides the fact they spent 5m of our money to cover for scumbag peados within their ranks though is a whole other story, dicks.

Oxygen equipment though? Could of happened just as easily if he turned his gas cooker on, or lit a cig, or anything.
If regulation comes into force, they should be regulating battery safety and proper equipment supplied to charge a battery that isn't cross compatible to further dilute our gene pool with health and safety madness.. Yet there's no money making involved in that so they won't be interested.

More likely to be a cheapy ecig that's the problem, my first eGo bought from that N.London firm only came with a small USB connector, no wall wart, so I use my own double USB adaptor (2A or 2*1A) that I use for all my USB things that need charging, never had any problems, as the connector will only draw 500mA from the Adaptor and put out the required 420mA to the eGo, but I would never leave it unattended.

Use decent equipment get decent results - don't scrimp on batteries of any kind treat them right and you shouldn't have any problems

Simple thing is you cannot educate everyone sadly, ok ill admit id go to Amazon and buy the first charger I saw as replacements in the past for phones, tablets etc.

Only gave it thought before I started vaping (thank you Dom Littlewood & rip off Britain), that why the hell do we trust unknown chinese imported chargers with no regulation?

Many of the explosions have been caused by the wall socket ie someone bought a 99p eBay special iPhone mains adaptor.

Talking to someone not that long ago about buying a replacement Mac charger because it was cheaper and they were skint, they told me how they left it on forgot about it and it was red hot to the touch. Safely they unplugged it and the charging block had swelled.

I have back up batteries for my phone but they've gone in the bin being cheap chinese tat which has swelled.

Most things are chinese manufactured these days purely due to cost, not slating the chinese manafacturers at all. Just make sure its reputable, if not go somewhere reputable. Ebay etc are not!

I use a dedicated USB charging station for the remaining ego I have. It cost around £40. It's the little tiny USB chargers that the device screws directly into that worry me, no room for proper protection circuitry, unlike the proper ego chargers with a big box and trailing USB lead.

That said, I think egos should come with a wall wart so they cannot be plugged into a USB port.

All of the MSM is biased in one direction or another, the BBC is far from the only one. If you want to rule out bias in the news you consume you need to go to many news sources and make your own mind up. I frequently look at RT and Al Jazeera to see what the other side of the story is. I have seen EU stories reported on RT that involve us that our MSM are silent about as it paints the EU in a bad light, and that is just one example.

The BBC had been a lot more balanced towards ecigs lately though, perhaps the editors have realised that people are not buying the junk science put out by the antz.
