So I was pretty skint after Xmas so thought why not just get a couple of clones to tide me over till the money situation gets better !!! Well boy do I wish I hadn't.....

First off the plume veil 90% spot on it came clean (tiny bit of oil) looks awesome works mint but the delrin in the top cap won't move a millimetre probably due to the drip tip not being the one that should come with it, I can live with that I wasn't expecting perfection lol

The marquis on the other hand is basically useless due to two issues first the negative screws, the heads of the screws are so small no wire can be trapped beneath them even .15 kanthal gets pushed out when you screw them down!!!!!! Then the top screw (the shouldered one) is so tight it's nearly impossible to screw down and trap a wire....

Guess that's what I get for buying clones, gutted as my new 50w istick showed up the following day thought I was gonna be in vaping heaven but alas no.........

It is important with ft to always read the reviews.
Only buy well reviewed stuff.
Get the best version they have because they often have a few.
I bought a nemesis acouple of tobh drippers and a couple of igo-l all clones all good.

That's what I did I looked for at least a fortnight before I committed to buying them, not even sure how to fix the marquis and that's the one I really really wanted

Time to start building a collection of machine screws, I often replace the stock screws on an RDA with allen head ones. Grab yourself a range of 5mm M2, M2.5, and M3 machine screws and you should be good to upgrade most anything.

Yep a trip to the local hardware store looks on the cards lol

Tabs on the positive can be bent outwards, with care, to fit the screw. Not ideal I know, but hey...

Withdrewandi, you didn't say where you got the marquis from, if from FT then it's probably easier to try and fix it yourself but if it's from a UK vendor then email them and return it.

Just because it's a clone doesn't mean it shouldn't be fit for purpose, believe me you'll be glad you did when you get it working right it's a top notch atty, im sat here now with one (from Elegant Vapour £19.50 inc delivery) sitting on a Stingray X (clone) in hybrid mode looking like its all one piece of metal at 0.7 Ohms, vertical coils, soaked in Goose Juice with a glass of southern comfort and coke (don't judge me I've just finished work and this is friday night to me) and my genuine Heron and Roller setup aint gettin a second look.

As they say '' good things come to those who cant be arsed to wait so pay a LITTLE extra for the pleasure''

Dogmeat Thanks for that bro make me jealous why don't ya would love to be sitting drink in hand right now lmfao
